Behind The Scenes at Viktor & Rolf Couture

The Dutch design duo took red carpet dressing literally, sending models down the runway in an array of terry cloth pieces. Photographer Kevin Tachman gives an exclusive look from backstage.

Designers Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren of Viktor & Rolf took red carpet dressing literally Wednesday at their Fall/Winter 2014 couture presentation. The collection, which the Dutch duo referred to as "a meditation on a contemporary obsession," featured an array of draped and knotted dresses constructed of terry cloth and silk, all, of course, in red. Sure, it wasn't as ethereal nor decadent as the typical couture collection, but with its oversized silhouettes and short hems (very few pieces hit below the knee), things were much more modern and wearable.
