"No one can resist Schweddy Balls." That's what the Ben & Jerry's team was thinking when they concocted their new flavor. The ice cream is inspired by an old Saturday Night Live skit featuring Alec Baldwin as Pete Schweddy, a bakery owner whose "balls" are his holiday specials: "popcorn balls, cheese balls, rum balls—you name it." A spokesman for the Vermont ice-cream maker said he wasn't too concerned about the flavor's potentially off-putting name. After all, Karmel Sutra and Half Baked are Ben & Jerry's classics. Schweddy Balls consists of vanilla ice cream, rum, fudge-covered rum balls, and milk-chocolate malt balls, and it's available at a supermarket near you.
