After being turned away from a now-closed Mall of America on Wednesday, a large Black Lives Matter protest migrated to Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, causing significant traffic delays. According to airport officials, the protesters blocked access to one of two terminals. The activists had previously attempted to gather at the largest U.S. shopping mall, but were blocked when police ordered a lockdown. As part of the anti-protest response, stores closed their gates and kiosks were covered with tarps, despite it being one of the busiest shopping days of the year.
