Porn Star for Senate

Sen. David Vitter’s phone number was found in the records of the notorious D.C. madam. Now he faces re-election (and massive karmic payback) against a sultry adult entertainer named Stormy. Max Blumenthal has an exclusive interview.
With 2010 midterm elections approaching, Louisiana Republican Sen. David Vitter is positioning himself as a leading conservative stalwart. In July 2008, Vitter joined accused bathroom-stall sex solicitor Sen. Larry Craig in co-sponsoring the anti-gay-marriage Marriage Protection Amendment, then addressed a massive antiabortion rally on the National Mall three days after Barack Obama's inauguration. Vitter was also the Senate Foreign Relations Committee's lone vote against sending Hillary Clinton's secretary of State nomination to the Senate floor.
This year, an ad appeared on Craigslist seeking "a female in some aspect of the adult-entertainment industry" to run against Vitter.
Vitter's right-wing posturing appears to be an attempt at image rehabilitation. In July 2007, the senator's phone number appeared on a published list of phone records of a company owned by Deborah Jeane Palfrey, the so-called DC Madam. Vitter confessed to "a serious sin" and revealed that he "asked for and received forgiveness from God and [his] wife." Though the GOP leadership also forgave Vitter, the revelation badly damaged his reputation as one of the Senate's rising conservative stars. In May 2008, Palfrey, the DC Madam, was found dead in an apparent suicide after being found guilty of running a prostitution ring.
This year, an ad appeared on Craigslist seeking "a female in some aspect of the adult-entertainment industry" to run against Vitter. Soon after, a website "drafting" porn actress Stormy Daniels to oppose Vitter sprouted up. Part publicity stunt, part political psy-ops tactic, the Draft Stormy initiative has already forced Vitter's scandalous past back into the limelight. The Louisiana Democratic Party denied any involvement in creating the website, but it is not complaining about Daniels' involvement in the race.
While traveling through Arizona last week, I learned that Daniels would be performing at a Phoenix strip club. I tracked the adult-video starlet down at her hotel and filmed the first interview with her since the Draft Stormy initiative began. During our exclusive interview, Daniels homed in on what she called Vitter's hypocrisy, declaring her intention to make his contradictory behavior the centerpiece of her campaign.

What a great video! Stormy would make a much better Senator than Sarah Palin would a President. She would have greater credibility than some other Senator, like, say Burris from Illinois.
How he asked the hookers for forgiveness? Oh, wait, he would still be asking for forgiveness, who knows how many he patronized. It would have been even better if one of his former hookers ran against him, she could run under the slogan "I know what it is like to be screwed by Washington."

Where do I sign up to help her make it to the Senate? If I remember correctly Senator Vitters is a white supremacist pig as well as a religious vealot. I am so sick of these men who think they own the moral majority and can tell people what to do when they are secretly having illicit sex behind the backs of their wives while living it up in DC.
Thank you so much for the kind words...One thing I want to make clear that I mentioned in the interview and was not included in this edit is that it is not my intention to make a mockery out of our government....Not like I could do it anymore injustice than Vitter already has! People can say what they want about me (that I am a whore, slut, etc.) but at least I have not been involved in criminal activity. I have always been upfront and brutally honest about who I am and what I do. Would I make a good Senator? Who knows. But I can honestly say that I have no radical hidden political agenda, I am a firm believer in first amendment rights, and I am fully prepared to use my name and celebrity to bring attention to this obvious problem in the Louisiana government with the sole purpose of trying to make my home state a better place to live.

Great video! I could easily get behind this campaign-absolutely no pun intended LOL. Now, can we explore a new direction to take for the HHS cabinet position? I liked Daschle but with this story in mind how about a midwife or any of the other health care players that actually believe in HEALTH rather than disease and drugs.

DC Madam apparent suicide, just like the nuclear scientist in London, Marilyn Monroe also. I love how these apparent suicides never raise many eyebrows.

I strongly feel that any member of congress should be forced to sign a Morals contract, and any violation at all be it minor or major, should be banned from office for life!
Remember folks, if you voted for them, then it's your fault they got in office... So next election vote the long time members of congress out of office, bring in new blood, and maybe even get lucky to find an "honest" politician!
This has "publicity stunt" written all over it. However, if you are serious, I wish you well. Remember, it's not so much that you'll be ridiculed for trying, it's how you handle the ridicule that's certain to come.
