Red Is the New Black

Now in its 12th year, China Fashion Week is in full swing, and the designs are colorful, avant-garde, and outrageous. VIEW OUR GALLERY of the year’s most stunning looks.

More than 40 fashion shows will take place in Beijing over the next week as part of China Fashion Week, one of the later global couture shows (New York, Milan, Paris, London, and New Delhi have already closed their spring runways). Though the major international labels—Gucci, Chanel, Vuitton—don’t show in Beijing, it is consistently a showcase for smaller, independent, edgy design, ranging from the whimsical to the downright creepy. VIEW OUR GALLERY below for a look at some of the most innovative looks coming down the Chinese runways.
