Sizzling G-20 Wives
Carla Bruni caused a frenzy last year, and with Sarah Brown hosting and Svetlana Medvedeva attending, the first ladies of the G-20 summit have all eyes in London placed squarely on them.

Why is Cristina Fernandez De Kirchner included in this photo spread? She was elected President of Argentina after having been First Lady. Would Hillary Clinton have been included if she had won the election?
Sizzling? Must be a really quiet day at the old Daily Beast to reach that far.
Who picked the picture of Michelle? The other wives are all quite modestly dressed. Why show Michelle "out of place" in her attire? Her dress is fine, but quite unlike the others.
That Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner is an insult between the other women... Do you know what is going on in Argentina? There are no clean elections there, and she is just an incompetent liar... so is her corrupt husband...

Was this written by Meghan McCain?
What is this, Cosmo? What's next, sex tips from Capital Hill hookers? How to rate your cangressman in bed? Seriously, this site is going downhill fast - Meghan McCain's idiocies, the 'She's 48!?' bullshit, and this...If I wanted to read this kind of crap I'd subscribe to US or People.
Where are the first ladies of Japanese and Chinese priministers? Why just the whilte people? Are they more interesting that Asian women? I don't think so. I like to see their fashion too.
"Sizzling" is not quite the word I would use to describe some of these women. Is there a word a step below homely?
Good grief - enough is enough. Can we PLEASE talk about women's accomplishments instead of their dresses?
Can someone please tell me:
What's the purpose of "the first ladies" attending the G20 Summit?
What's it costing for these women to attend--not to mention their entourage(s) and security--and who is paying for it?
Really, Daily Beast? This is news? I can't believe a site created by Tina Brown is subjecting us to this garbage. I'm with FNYGY1, nickmagoo and beerzie, if I wanted to read this crap I'd go subscribe to US Weekly. This is a totally sexist, meaningless fluff article. It's not exactly like there's a shortage of news right now!!

TDS, you suck
If we hate this article so much, why are we admitting to reading it, and looking at the pictures, by leaving comments?
I think Beast caters to its readership, which is us, who must be reading this, because we left comments, so we feed the Beast. I am glad we do.

I can believe a site created by Tina Brown would quickly devolve into trivia, glitz, gossip, and the hang-ups of the Tina Brown's of this world: face lifts, bikinis on women of a certain age, college admissions, hookers, essays by or about her dinner party pals, who's dating whom. To add insult to injury, she's one of those Brits who came over to the US in order to pretend to have an inside track on Brit society, and many Americans have fallen for it. She wouldn't be anywhere or anyone if she'd stayed at the Tatler.
It's time for Tina Brown to accept that she is over the hill, and that her own obsessions with status, looks and money are not what make readable copy for busy people in a world that's as tenuous as it is. She is vanity, vanity. Enough of her and her ilk.

Why are the spouses there?Who is paying for it? Who is providing Mrs. Obama's wardrobe? Probaby us tax payers - This seems like a waste of tax money.
Michelle ,honey, I would fire your stylist asap and place a RED phone call to Carla Bruni, now that is class !
Jeezuz....Tina Brown-you do not get it. So much going on and look what you end up doing to yourself. Kind of like an editorial version of Newt. You've dug yourself a fine fine hole. Too bad on yeh. Don't let the door whack you in the ass on the way out.
BTW-since only 17 morons including me, have wasted time posting comments on this, I do not think Ms. B and her advisors are rolling in self congrats on their successes. A fizzling fuse...when all it does..... is.....go......out.
Agree that this item is below Ms. Brown's dignity and sophistication. This is basically a dressed-up version of "hot or not?"
Ms. Brown - note the comments asking why money was spent to send these women to the G-20 meeting. People who read this piece assume that these women have nothing to offer but their looks. Maybe its true - maybe they are all brainless mannequins who do nothing but pick out clothes all day. But I doubt it. Is this the message you hoped to convey?
Thank you.
