alesacm: Stanford's rejection letter was waaaay better than Harvard's.

his_holiness: I was rejected from the University of Washington. My dad has been a professor there for 30 years and is on the board of admissions. FML

yaacoviland: Rejected by Waterloo. Accepted by Harvard. Been repeating WTF out loud to myself for the last fifteen minutes.

gabmeister1855: Got rejected from Berkeley. Damn dirty hippies.

antiquitas: well at least Cornell's rejection was thorough and extremely apologetic. only 6 out of 110? yeah, my odds were bad.

asaresquares: Sick, and rejected from Barnard, Wellesley and Georgetown. So. eBay shopping as consolation.

I don't tweet but I've been rejected by the best. Don't cry. The state-sponsored second tier--the mid-majors I call them--are still waiting to see if they can afford to give assistantships. Financials are bad out there folks. Kingsbury had it right--offer to pay cash up front.

^ That one is my favorite. *laughs*

Twitter is interesting, but have ever poked around the college confidential forums? The amount of arrogance and self-righteousness in that forum is extraordinarily laughable.

Great post! I love TDB's college entries and this one has been by far my favourite.

If these people who were rejected really wanted a school that they didn't get into, they could always reapply as transfer.

I received a scholarship to a less prestigious school and turned it down for a well regarded school instead and I don't regret my decision one bit.
