I love taking pictures. Still photography is by far the best form of expression...ONE MOMENT, FROZEN IN TIME. Life Magazine was the Best

glad to see the photog helped the poor kid put out the flames........why do that when you can snap a stupid picture for people to fawn over
keepakeeper43
Because now millions of people will see the "stupid picture" and the conditions the kid lives in. Then the world can make choices to do something about the fire he lives in. Its called photojournalism.
But thanks for your sympathy and concern!

I find it a little interesting that the pictures were of poor blacks or Muslims. The pictures of dead Haitian children and rioting Kenyans should make me crazy with anger but at this point I get a terrible "ho-hum" kind of feeling. This has all been done before.

FransBevy...I found the same feeling from these pictures...Sad, yes, but no GREATNESS.
I am horrified for the Muslim girls BARBARIC.

Yeah, the immaculate Indonesian ladies standing there calmly waiting to mutilate a young girl was horrific in its juxtaposition of conservative morality(Muslim), the pristine beauty of the room, and the irreversible reality of what was about to happen.
Thank you.
