dick cheney is thinking more long term. i think he has written off this cycle and is trying to describe, implant in the public collective an idea that when we are attacked again he can say i told you so. He is building the negative.

He wants to waterboard everybody for his own political benefit.
He used the words "Go F--- Yourself" on the floor of the Senate.

While his administration is being trashed daily do you expect him to roll over and go away? You hope he will shut up like the other GOP pols which only means you know he still carries a lot of clout. Look how the Rookie is reverting back to the Bush/Cheney policies regarding Gitmo and the detainees. They are listening to Dick Cheney and finally joining the Real World. Barack has flip-flopped for good reason at last, if only to save his own hide.
