I almost never read stories about celebrities, and I didn't watch the TV special about Fawcett's disease. But, for some strange reason, the headline about her death reduced me to tears. I guess I thought of the picture of her son. I don't really know. Strange how you can be affected by someone you've never met.

I was sorry to see there was not a video clip from her more serious work; she was wonderful in "Small Sacrifices" and even better in "Jewel", a made for TV movie where she played the mother of a child with Down's "Syndrome.
