All that Palin bull about lawsuits is untrue. If Coleman can use campaign funds to pay for lawyers, so can Palin.
I don't care why she left, I'm just glad she's gone. Just a few hundred more to go. Republicans must go.
Don't forget some useless Democrats. Many on both sides of the aisle need to go.
Let's clean house at every election. Democrats that don't support the best of government need to be replaced by people that represent our ideals. Education, healthcare, social security, personal liberty, open government and peace.

Coleman used campaign funds to go to court to try to win the election, which was obviously part of his campaign.
Palin want to use campaign funds for her personal legal issues, not as part of a campaign.
Cynthia Tucker hit the nail on the head. Petty and vindictive, good words to describe Palin since the beginning.
TMZ increasingly gets it right - whether they pay their sources or not, at least they're getting the right answers. Other news sources take note.
I hate to admit that I love TMZ. They usually break the story first and are accurate. Other sites rush to post something and then later have to back pedal or apologize. TMZ always nails whatever story they are after. Too bad they don't do more hard news.
It was hard to accept when the National Enquirer was the first to break the John Edwards affair and then TMZ also breaking and accurately reporting stories. I have had to re-think what was a tabloid and what wasn't.
I wish the Republicans, even Powell, would quit talking about "the huge national debt" as if one didn't exist before Barack Obama.
In fact, Reagan tripled or quadrupled the national debt, Clinton began paying it down, then Bush doubled it with his tax cuts for rich people while starting a war in Iraq (and screwing one up in Afghanistan). In fact, Cheney once defended it by saying "Reagan proved that a big increase in national debt has no real effect on the economy."
BHO was left in the position of doing nothing about an impending financial and economic collapse a la Herbert Hoover, or doing a stimulus plan like FDR and incurring more debt until the economy turns around.
Oh, yes. He could have given everybody huge tax cuts and further increased the national debt that W increased. And the trickle-down economic effect would have occurred about 5 years later, just like his 2001 tax cut.
And if anybody gives me the Republican mantra about Keynesian economics not working, I have a whole bunch of economic references about the Great Depression and it's economic programs for you.

The anti-Keynesian conservatives say it wasn't "government spending" that got us out of the depression. It was WWII. They completely overlook that, in economic terms, WWII was MASSIVE GOVERNMENT SPENDING. Once the entire population got a job in a factory, suddenly they had money again and could spend it.
The Depression didn't happen because we weren't creating. We were churning out goods till the end. The problem was no one was buying them. Whole warehouses of usable goods went to waste because no one had the cash to buy them. They resorted to burning food in California trying to drive the price of fruit up, while people were starving.
If the masses have no spending power, the rich cannot buy enough fast enough. The answer is not to cut taxes and encourage business, business isn't the problem, the lack of demand from customers is the problem. Get money to the people, and the business part will take care of itself.
It's kinda funny and sickening at the same time to watch Obama get criticized for "taking on too much" and "not doing enough." I don't know what sort of threat our national debt is supposed to pose. We don't get our country's economy up and running again, the national debt is going to be the least of our grandchildren's worries.

Actually, he just doubled it, from about 1 trillion to 2 trillion. George W. Bush managed to double it again, from about 5 trillion to 10 trillion. So much for fiscal responsibility...

While I agree with you that getting our Economy up and running again is the primary aim, the question really is at what cost. Mass Social Spending in an effort to deflate currency to pay off current debt with phoney dollars is the only known outcome to Obama's strategy. Unless you are hoping to pay $10,000 for a loaf of bread and live in Zimbabwe or the Weimar Republic, then I suppose your approach will be a fine one. The problem comes once people realize the consequence. The failure of both Zimbabwe and Weimar Germany necessitated the use of force against it's own people and ultimately an outward expansion against neighbors to solve their porblems. These are known and definite outcomes in every case. So, why are you choosing this and insisting the rest of us follow along?
two more words to describe palin's rhetoric ... divisive and inflammatory ... she is just terribly inept ... she is totally self serving and fake ... makes a complete fool of herself every time she opens her mouth!
And, let's not forget: whiner! She dished it out from day one, but cannot take it. Or can she? I think it is her scandal in the closet that is getting her to step down cuz she certainly seems to come alive when she is fighting!

Ms. Tucker, how many Democrats you think need sucking it up? I do not agree with Palin. But all Democrat feminists can not stand Republican women. How many Republican women Tucker thinks highly of. Ms. Tucker does not have to agree with their policies, so they get personal attacks from her..

Powell sounds like a candidate of some sort - might he be eyeing a step into the R leadership breach, swaying some moderate minority votes back to the near-Right side of the aisle?

Obama bawled like a baby about the whiff of racism, real or imagined and the media had his back. Where is the media for women? Oh yes, sharpening their knives as they tell us it is gonna hurt real bad--Suck it up!
