Bondage Chic
From footwear as headwear to Christian Lacroix’s farewell collection, VIEW OUR GALLERY of the most glamorous, outrageous, and kinkiest looks from the Paris haute-couture shows.
The Paris haute-couture shows celebrate high fashion as high art. This year’s presentations have been especially dramatic due to the recession—Christian Lacroix, who was forced into bankruptcy earlier this summer, caused fashionistas to shed tears (literally), as he showed what may be his final collection. And celebrities such as Mickey Rourke and Kylie Minogue turned out for Jean-Paul Gaultier’s show, while Megan Fox and Cate Blanchett were on hand to celebrate Armani’s new collection on the eve of the designer’s 75th birthday. View our gallery for some of the most outrageous looks to emerge from this year’s couture parade.

Has anyone else seen Brazil? The shoe-hats are making me uneasy... I love Gilliam, but it would be nice if his prophecies didn't come true...

Please spare me seeing this stuff on anyone but a super-thin, super-model.
Any maybe spare me seeing it on them.
I've seen Brazil. I've never seen a real person wear this stuff.
These are sculptures made of fabric - beautiful to look at, completely impractical (still enjoy the talent and patience that goes into the hand-sewing and beading...I can barely hem pants without wanting to tear my hair out!)
