Guerrilla Footage of Uighur Unrest in China
Riots in the western Chinese city of Urumqi have left 156 dead and hundreds more injured—and as in Iran, protesters have been uploading their own cellphone videos of the violent clashes. Caution: Some of the footage is graphic.

The original caption for this YouTube video says the Uighurs staged a protest to ask the government to investigate reports about the death of two Uighurs at the hands of their Han Chinese co-workers at the Xuri toy factory in Guangdong. This video is shot at ground level, unlike most of the bird’s-eye footage that has been popping up on YouTube.
