I'm surprised there hasn't been more attention about the First African-American President visiting Africa?

I must missing something! I personally think this is Historic and important! But that's just me.

It's not news because he has gone to Ghana and that is a stable democratic country, far from the "this is Africa" mentality of dictators rampant there. He will give his Muslim talk changed to fit the geography and then he will leave. Not much to get excited about.

CommonSensePleeze, he did visit Egypt earlier this year which got alot of attention.

Yarran, Egypt might be in Africa geographically but it is politically in the middle east, Africa is most the Sub-Saharan countries, if you get the meaning. And Obama has been in Africa before, at least as a Senator!!

I used to live in one of the worst neighborhoods in my city and the only time I saw the NAACP was when a news camera was around. One year they wanted people to put the number of homicides in our front windows, as if that was going to do anything. The NAACP plays little or no part in any community I've ever lived in.

Do we have a stopping point of Obama,Jackson, racist and NAACP. I like a lot of others I am sure have listen to everything concerning black for over a year now and personally getting tired of it.

I reviewed your editorial guidelines and its relationship to website advertising. Do you consider it a contradiction for another black publication to restrict its editorial guideline to the 'C-Street' morals and monetary values of corporate advertisers. Coke/Pepsi product advertising does not consider the morality that such corporations lack ethnic diversity. Corporations such as Nissan, have used insulting black caricatures in their overseas advertising. How do you justify using their morals?

Listen, I have a list of 500 companies and angel investors who have advertised and donated to liberal and left wing multi-media outlets. None of the recipients were black because black advertisers keep going to the same tainted money well. Your advertising director can Google this list or one like it. These advertisers have publicly said they are eager to support values and views that reflect their conscience and social policies. North Star News is the vehicle most able to drive down the road of equality and redemption while noting the trails and tribulations and history of being black, poor, and American.

For example, I could not find any publication that contradicted the hype about generational hypertension, high blood pressure and blacks. The most recent nefarious research suggests blacks are destined to use a dialysis machine. This is the same 19th century hyperbole that claims blacks are ethically inferior to whites. This is similar to the Moynihan Report that blames black women for destroying the black family. Where is your editorial? Where is our truth?

Another report reveals how black boys and teenagers from urban environments learn exceptionally well using innovative teaching techniques. This proven theory on closing the education gap is also lacking in your editorials.

Recently, President Obama, once again blamed black families for the education gap. While he admitted that disparities exist that create barriers; he did not mention government responsibility for second class schools, urban pollution, and intuitive racism. How can we forget that most of the railroad porters were highly educated blacks who could not get a job in their chosen profession.

Like reading and writing, the computer is creating a digital divide of information. It is your responsibility to close that racial ravine by helping to reveal the truth. And the truth in a white mans sub-conscious is different then the truth of a black man's reality. You realize that or else you would not have this website. Realize it or not, black newspapers are also going the way of the Neanderthal operated white newspapers. This can help pick up the slack by becoming a resource for black publications.
