Sotomayor Leaves Sen. Sessions 'Flabbergasted'
Give him an A for effort: Republican Sen. Jeff Sessions, despite Judge Sonia Sotomayor’s almost-certain confirmation to the Supreme Court, is doubling down on criticism of the nominee’s judicial philosophy. There’s not much that’s new about Sessions’ argument—Sotomayor isn’t committed to impartiality and supports the citation of international law—but it’s interesting that he’s using a national platform to oppose her despite the odds against her defeat. Durbin Demands CIA Probe
Another Democrat not hesitating in a call for action on the Cheney-CIA concealment allegations is former Intelligence Committee member Sen. Dick Durbin. In an interview with George Stephanopoulos on This Week, Durbin says that there “absolutely” must be an investigation into the matter, which is not only “inappropriate,” but could very well be “illegal.” Fundraisers for Cheney’s legal bills may be soon to follow.

OMG John McCain is so lying when he says he respects Sarah Palin. His eyes are going back and forth like a pinball in a hot game. About the only truth is "I cannot tell you the appreciation I have for her." He cannot tell us because it would reveal his total dirty old man lechery and political cynicism in selecting her as his running mate.
Maybe you have been watching too much "Lie to Me" on TV.
Maybe Dixie hit it out of the park!
I don't think Dixie hit it out of the park, I mean obviously McCain became pretty uncomfortable when he says "I cannot tell you the appreciation I have for her." But there's more too this.
To me, this just screams that Sarah is who the Republicans will be supporting for 2012. Politcal positioning at its finest. What you saw here was the former front-runner stepping back and grabbing Sarah and moving her up front. Sorry Romney, Sanford, Jindal, etc...
Step #2 Now Palin will be all over Faux News as the hero and doing the courageous thing. Whoops, looks like Fox got ahead of itself!
Aw, c'mon. She took the blame for his loosing the White House. I bet he appreciates that quite a bit.
OMG, McCain is a "dirty old man" ? That's both ageist AND sexist, you silly girl !!
Senator McCain was very predictable on Meet the Press today. I will say I liked his acknowledgment that he would be willing to talk to the President on Health Care. He stated "we should begin dialogue". I would hope the he follows through. It seems that the President is very collaborative.
Gee, DiFi really showed a lot of indignation about not being briefed about Cheney's program, didn't she.
And McCain is trying to bullshit everbody about Sarah Barracuda and is not succeeding.
Can anyone imagine the debates between Obama and Palin in 2012? Holy crap. It's litterally hard to imagine. It won't matter if it's a Townhall, Standup of Sitdown; those debates will be massacres for the Republican party. Palin can raise money like nobody's business, but she'd struggle to put her ideas where her mouth is.
Listen y'all, Palin will NOT run for office. She is only in it for the money now. After getting the political tar beat out of her in the last election, and her realizing that as an office holder she can no longer fly under the radar because of her sophmoric political incoherence, she has quit office holding for the nut-wing ATM circuit. Why on Earth would she want to be POTUS when millions of dollars are out there for her to gather in?
I agree. She is only leaving the door open for a potential 2012 run because she knows it will put a premium on her speaking engagements. I doubt she'll actually run.
Good thing Obama solved this economic problem!!! Now the Daily Beast can concentrate more on Palin.
I hope she does run in 2012. Obama will get 75% of the vote then. there is just not enough stupid people in America to elect her to anything. McCain is just stupid , but I doubt he would be stupid enough to vote for Palin LOL !!
You only have to look at the amount of comments left on any subject relative to a Palin one to know she generates noise. And noise means dollars. I don't remember who said it but it went; There is no such thing as bad press.
Thank you.
