Mick's Pretty Baby

Georgia May Jagger, the youngest daughter of Mick Jagger and Jerry Hall, struts her stuff in a new Hudson Jeans campaign.

When model Jerry Hall learned that her 17-year-old daughter Georgia May Jagger (she’s Mick’s child too) wanted to go into the family business and bare all for the new Hudson Jeans campaign launching this month, she had this advice to offer: “Be nice to everyone, even if you don’t like it. And don’t show your bum.” The young Georgia May took at least half of this advice. Jagger shows her bum, belly, and bikini line in the new campaign, which rolls out in several stages during the upcoming New York Fashion Week. A video is the heart of Hudson’s plan—with Jagger stating the cheeky lines, “My mum is Jerry Hall and my father’s Mick Jagger. People say I have great genes.”—and will likely make her an international face. And a memorable one at that (she was blessed with her father’s pillowy snarl and her mother’s Texas-kissed blonde ambition). The neo-Bardot also follows in the footsteps of her older sister, Lizzie, 25, who has been working the catwalks for several seasons.

“We were looking for a new way to sell the line,” says David Lipman, the advertising executive responsible for the Hudson campaign. “We wanted to brand it as this denim company based in California, but with a very London edge. Their symbol is the Union Jack, and they are all about aristocracy and rock ’n’ roll. Then it hit me when I came across a picture of Georgia that she was the one. Her mom is an American icon, her father a British rocker, and she’s the epitome of the two. She’s in the DNA of the brand.”

Lipman hopped a plane to Vegas to meet with Jagger, who signed on to a multi-faceted print and video campaign—the ads are already in magazines (many featuring Jagger with her boyfriend, musician Django James—the son of Eurythmics’ Dave Stewart). After its premiere on The Daily Beast, the video will soon be broadcast on New York billboards and across the Web. “The few images we already released went haywire,” says Lipman. “I think Georgia understands the bigness of it.” So does her dad, it seems. Jagger, 65, is reportedly “dubious” about his daughter’s career choice (according to the snitty British press), and has discouraged his daughter from further exposing herself, as the paparazzi is haunting her London school.

“That’s blown out of proportion,” Lipman assures. “We are all really proud of the campaign. Anytime any 17-year-old becomes immediately known to the public, it’s understandable to be concerned. But everyone is amazed by what Georgia has done so far.”

Interesting that most of the comments here so far are of relatively neurotic middle-of-the-road types who don't 'get it'. Hudson is aiming for exactly the response we see here! Aristocracy just can't care about this, particularly since the family connection is exactly what they care about. And, hey, it's about rock-and-roll, so loosen your buttons, lose the anxiety, and let it all hang out at the party!

Looks like Avril Lavigne, but with hot dog lips.

Also, I'm always amazed by celebrity worshippers... what sad lives they must lead, and how inadequate and insignificant they must feel, to find pleasure in worshipping from afar someone who could care less if you breathe.

Nothing like using mummy and daddy's names to advance your career, I guess. But "great genes" ...LOL! Is there really a market for her "great genes" on planet Earth?

"Her mom (Jerry Hall) is an American icon"

Seriously, an "icon?"

Michael Jackson is an "icon."
Madonna is an "icon."
Cindy Crawford is more recognizable, a model "icon."

Find someone under 50 who's ever heard of Jerry Hall.
She was SOMEWHAT relevant, what thirty years ago ?

Does she speak with a phony
British accent like Madonna ?

Well, she is an icon. Very well-known by people who follow fashion, even younger people. And she speaks with her native Texas twang, not a phony Brit accent like Madonna.

This daughter, Georgia, has an interesting look. She's almost on the verge of ugly, but not. Hard to tell how tall she is by the video but she might actually have some success at this. She seems less affected than Peaches Geldof or Daisy Lowe, but hard to tell from one video.

The "be nice to everyone" advice is wise. Jerry knows of what she speaks.

This is proof positive that National health Care will fail. You would think they could, at least, fix her teeth.

On the other hand, the fruit doesn't fall far from the tree does is? Maybe this is an new look in dental fashion.

Yes, that must be it. Even with her dad being a multi-multi millionaire and being able to fly her anywhere in the world for an orthodontist. It MUST be the fault of the NHS.

Oh, and any minute now, they are going to have to put Mick to sleep because he's getting too old to perform his duties.

Wake the hell up and stop believing everything your right-wing blow hards tell you.

She really had to exploit HERSELF that way, so soon?

So now guys will be able to fantazise about effing a female version of Mick Jagger? How bizarre.

I wonder if and when she ever grows up, that is ever becomes emotionally mature, what she will think of this.

Wait, she's 17. So if she had sex with an 18-year old boyfriend, the boyfriend could be jailed and permanently labeled a sex offender. But if they're paying her to do partial nudity ads for TV, it's okay. If naked pictures were posted of her on the internet, it would be kiddie-porn, but because it's for a 'legitimate' ad campaign, it's fine? I'm confused.

Will it really kill you to wait ONE year for a kid to turn 18 before having sex with her. Sorry you lack self-control.

Just know if you have sex with CHILDREN under 18 (regardless of how old YOU are) we WILL lock you up and throw away the keys.
Is that clear enough for you?

We all have urges to hit our boss, but we don't because it's wrong and there are consequences. Walk upright and PRETEND to be a human-being capable of controlling your basic urges and you will be fine.

What the hell are you talking about, crymeariver? You've gone a ridiculous bender. My post was a complaint about how partial-nudity ads with 17-year-olds are disgusting. It was pointing out that we have laws to keep people from having sex with girls under 18 and laws to keep people from buying/selling photographs of naked girls under 18, so why the hell is this ad-campaign with a 17-year-old okay?

Simmer down, hot head; put your pitch fork away and try to read more carefully before you accuse people of wanting to have sex with children next time.

Actually, I believe 17 is considered ok age of consent, if the parents don't press charges. Otherwise, Miley Cyrus's 22 yo boyfriend would be in jail, right?

"Start them young"? Do you KNOW who her parents are? She grew up around them, her behavior is normal in her family. Have you seen pictures of her mom during her "modeling days" or her dad's half-nakedness?
The media/society is not DOING anything to HER.

rob, I tend to agree with you.

She looks like a dirty twat. I didn't really pay attention to the jeans, but did see the underwear, hair and teeth and heard the bit about the parents. So, if they are trying to sell jeans, sorry, jeans did not register. A dirty, twaty, gap tooth, hairy pair of dark panty's did...

yow. i think i have to agree - she truly does need to fill that gap in her teeth. i suppose it's all to accent her full mouth a la mick but it's actually distracting.

she's not really a very pretty girl. but then, i never really thought jerry hall was very pretty. just a lot of hair, tall. but i liked her for her ballsy attitude and her ability to pump out the jagger babies. not many women kept jagger around for very long; jerry did.

but, no, she's not really an "icon."

To all the people complaining about her teeth, or her appearance. Screw you. She doesn't need to change anything. NO ONE needs to change anything in their features to suit YOUR ideal of what someone should look like.

People are people. Let them be who they are instead of shoving them into a box.

Doing an ad like this and talking about her parents like that somehow makes her opinion (on jeans of all things) worth something makes her walking proof that yes, women CAN be D-bags.

BUT, you people ragging on her teeth and her nose need to grow up. It's people like you that drive women to get plastic surgery and depend on their appearance for their sense of self-worth. No one should have to visit a cosmetic dentist before they can appear on TV.
