Carrie Prejean seems to suffer from the same delusions of her hero Sarah Palin. Both equate the backlash from their words as some sort of squelching of free speech. They both have the right to say whatever they want. What they don't seem to comprehend is that we have the right to disagree and draw our own conclusions about what sort of people they are based on their loudly articulated beliefs. Carrie's Grandfather did not fight in vain. In America, she is free to put her 3" heels in her mouth if she so pleases. Just don't complain when you are called out for being intolerant.

I find this somewhat entertaining. Not the least bit important, but a real world theatre of the absurd where none of this really matters and nobody is getting hurt. Ms. Prejean has the same outlook as millions of Americans but you combine that sort of silly bigotry with beauty pageants, shameless self promoting comb over relics from the 80's, religious zealotry, a right wing political body looking for heroes in the narrowest of margins and a media with so many worthwhile things to do but so little will to do it and you get this enormously comical farce.

The latest being that not only did she make her sex-tape as an adult (not at age 17 as she claimed) but she made about 15-20 tapes. And apparently the tapes were floating around when her topless photos were made public and she denied having a sex-tape at that time.

I think it is just the culture. There so many young women who just act so condescending, disrespectful, but more than that, there is usually mild sexual overtones that are accusatory.

periscope - Why do you say she has 'little brains'? Being wrong about something doesn't mean she's stupid. I doubt she's at all bright or has learned much about the world she's in, but she'll be able to get by in life, and strikes me as less silly than Michelle Bachmann or Sarah Palin.

Demsdisorder - Yes, she is physically attractive. Artificial to a certain degree, but in the throes of sexual passion or mere infatuation that counts for little in the eye of the beholder.

I saw the interview, and this as always is much ado about nothing. She and Larry had prearranged rules of engagement, and Larry set her up. Not very Larry King like, but clearly he had set her up.

Now, she was naive thinking that she would get a free hand on Larry King, but to say her response was a "meltdown" is absurd. She simply and politely refused to go on after the prearranged rules of engagement were broken.

When you read the press you would have thought she had freaked out on camera. She simply stopped the interview. Not much of a meltdown to me, and just another reason you can not believe 50% of the press all of the time, and the other half only half of the time!!!!
