Palin on the Attack
In her Oprah interview, Sarah Palin calls Levi Johnston "heartbreaking" and takes aim at Katie Couric. PLUS, Tina Brown says Going Rogue's timing is just right, plus galleries, clips, and other contributors on Sarah's big return on our Sarah Palin topic page.
In her first Going Rogue interview, a sit-down with Oprah Winfrey, Sarah Palin details her issues with the McCain campaign, her disastrous media relations, and her family's ongoing melodrama. The campaign hid information from her, Palin claims, and forced her to purchase that infamous $150,000 wardrobe against her will. She admits that she blew the Katie Couric interview, but stands by her theory that the editing hurt her. "If all people knew of me was that interview, I don't blame them" for thinking the veep candidate was ignorant. But the real heat is the Palin-Johnston family feud; Palin's book launch and media blitz coincides with Levi Johnston's Playgirl photo shoot. “I hear [Levi Johnston] goes by the name Ricky Hollywood now,” Palin tells Oprah Winfrey in her interview on Monday—a nickname that Johnston mentioned when he went shopping with The Daily Beast’s Renata Espinosa. Then, despite earlier reports that Palin played nice during the interview, she goes on then to attack Johnston, the father of her grandchild. “We don't want to mess up this gig he's got going…. Kind of this aspiring, aspiring porn—the things that he's doing. It's kind of heartbreaking." When Oprah asks if “porn” is a reference to Johnston’s Playgirl shoot, Palin says, “I call that porn, yes. So it’s a bit heartbreaking to see the road that he’s on right now.”

Her book asserts Palin's equipped
To talk off the cuff but was gypped;
On TV she'll affirm
She's a rogue pachyderm
As long as she sticks to the script.

I thought Oprah looked pretty tense through this interview. Nice picture she took with Sarah and the girls tho. I wasn't gonna watch it, but did. It was Oprah that wouldn't stop asking about Levy. This is all gonna be real old and tired by 2012!
"This is all gonna be real old and tired by 2012!"
Is that your solemn promise?
its not exactly a conservative site, bobby!
tolatetocry, your point, please.
Frankly I'm confused. I voted for Obama. I thought Palin was a nut. I watched the entire interview. I actually thought to myself I would vote for this person. She seemed open and honest and Oh God.. here it comes...even smart. What is going on here? Does she have some sort of super coach now? Was she being held back before? Am I missing something? I liked her today, I hope that was for real.
Ruckus, hi, one question -
Did policies or political or social goals or agendas play into any of your decision to vote for Obama? I mean, there are fundamental differences between these people. You liked her today, so you'd what, vote for her?
The Daily Beast: all Sarah Palin all day long. You folks sleeping with her press agent?
Thank you.
