Dear DAILY BEAST, Please keep up this arrogant patronizing & condescention of Sarah Palin. For every article such as this, she gains 1000 supporters to defend her.
JustinTimberwolf
Hahaha, yes, Sarah Palin is really going to pick up a huge number of supporters, since so many people are undecided on how they feel about her. Get a clue.
suzannewynn
IKIDYOUNOT... really??? Palin is the biggest idiot and an enemy to all women everywhere! And if you will support someone just b/c of the patronizing etc... then did you vote for Clinton??
She puts herself in the position when she opens her big mouth...

Sarah Palin sees herself as the biggest victim on the planet (replacing Sean Hannity). She believes that everyone is out to get her. Nothing is ever her fault, and she is unable to let even the slightest criticism go without response. There are apparently no ideas in the book, just accusations and recriminations. It's no wonder her approval is at 23%, roughly the same as Bush and Cheney when they left office.

LOL! 1000 new assholes for every article? Yeah right!!!

IKYN - Evidently you are too blinded by your admiration of Palin to see the irony and humor in the situation. She, who proclaims herself "a regular person" and "real", goes on to use a ghostwriter to pen her memoir.
It seems, though, the ghostwriter may have a career in pulp fiction.
motrbotr
You are asses for even comparing the two.
STJOHN
That was fun. I couldn't tell the difference at all.

This is funny... too funny... I could easily see Sarah Palin supporters and Steele's customer base being in the same group.
TO IKIDYOUNOT: You were looking for "condescension" and not "condescention". Also, it is appropriate to look down on Sarah Palin and those that agree with her opinions, because they are the opinions of the ignorant. It is good to look down on the ignorant, because it is not a good thing to be ignorant. Sorry that this fact bothers so many people, but perhaps energy is better spent becoming less ignorant than simply defending a lack of actual ability.

The similarities are creepy! That must be why ikid and motr are pissed off.
Okay her book is out, no one cares anymore. Her fifteen minutes are up. She has no more tricks up her sleeve.
Palin begone!

This contest shows how important context really is.
On the surface the quotes are sometimes hard to differentiate, but in context, it is obvious who said what.
The moral of the story for me, is that you have to be situational aware or an insider or we as outsiders can be easily manipulated, and the best thing can happen is to have our confidence shot down, the worst thing would be having the wrong person in power making life transforming decisions.
Youwot
I think that the point is the quality of writing of a supposed political memoir.

Oh.

This was hilarious. I hope Danielle Steel sues Palin for plagerism.

I'm no big fan of Sarah Palin, yes, she makes herself an easy target, and some of the stories are truly entertaining, but I'm really tiring of the excessive coverage of her. In today's Beast, 25% of the featured articles, almost 25% of the highlights, and 10% of the Cheat Sheet is about her. Come to think of it, TDB tends to do the same thing with Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Michele Bachmann. These people disgust me and are easy subjects for articles, but too much. Please less.

Unfortunately all media outlets (internet, t.v., newspapers, radio) are obsessed with only TWO topics for the ENTIRE week: Sarah Palin and Twilight-New Moon. Congress can declare war on Australia right now and we won't find out about it until after the hoop-la over those two subjects dies down in a week or three!
bonkus
Australia, that's crazy - on the other hand, congress DID declare war on Prussia...still trying to figure that one out though...Google earth is no help.
Womentoo
She makes me want to cry for her.Palin is working so hard to escape her mistakes but she doesn't knows how because she continues to steps in cow s_ _ _ leaving tracks all over.

I have seen more people at a Harry Potter book release , does this mean JK Rowling will be the next President?

As a single parent who "pulled herself up by her bootstraps," it makes a great American story.
The bit about her writing the first book while being on the dole, though, might be a deal-killer.
carriejo
I don't think she she has a future in national politics but she and Obama have about the same amount of experience. After George Bush I thought Obama judgement would make up for his inexperience but I was wrong, that's why this country is heading . I just love the way the liberals hate her after all she has accomplished quite a bit and she not a left wing rug chewer.
bonkus
Yes, she has about the same amount of experience. however, the amount of rug chewing she does makes me concerned for her immortal soul. oh, speaking of which, Carrie, did you text me those pics of you making out with your sister yet? I'm totally eager to post them to my blog.
Thank you.
