The Week in Culture
This week, Penelope Cruz showed her dark side, Will Smith and Jay-Z came to Broadway, and Taylor Swift became a greeting card. VIEW OUR GALLERY for the best in music, film, TV, and art.
In this Internet-soaked, real-time, ever-changing world, everything is all mixed up. Jeff Bridges is in an “under the radar” film, Sarah Palin has a bestseller, Coolio is on the Today show teaching Kathie Lee how to cook, and Kate Hudson is singing and dancing for her supper. But it will all make sense… one day. For now, simply enjoy the fact that Jay-Z is producing on Broadway, Taylor Swift is making greeting cards, Kander and Ebb are making new musicals from beyond the grave, and Bon Jovi is back on top for the first time in 20 years. It’s a topsy-turvy world. Roll with it.

Why is it so great to have yet another horrendous stereotype (or 2) of a gay man on TV?
I'm so sick of these steps back in time. The writers, actors, and everyone else involved with this should be ashamed.

The Bob Saget show sounds a lot like the Louis Theroux show from the BBC. He has many great 1 hour adventures, from living in a brothel, to the buying of a asian bride, to hanging with extreme racists, to televangelists. It sounds like this show has already been done.

The bit on the George W. Bush Library is hilarious.
