It's time for Congress to hurry up and ... keep on waiting. House Speaker John Boehner said in an interview that aired Sunday that a clean spending bill still doesn’t have enough votes to clear the House. Although the Senate and the president both have said they will not accept a bill that restricts the Affordable Care Act, it seems House Republicans still aren’t budging. “We voted to keep the government open,” said Boehner. “Providing fairness to the American people, under Obamacare, is all we’re asking for.” Democrats, for their part, aren’t buying Boehner’s claim: nearly every House Democrat and at least 21 Republicans have reportedly signaled a willingness to vote for a clean bill. Come on, kids. Play nice.
