Another violent day in Afghanistan. Nineteen people were killed when a minibus hit a roadside bomb in the south of the country. Earlier, 19 others were killed and 35 wounded by suicide attackers in Tirin Kot. Twelve of the dead in that attack were children between the ages of 5 and 13. The Tirin Kot attack began with two remote-controlled car bombs followed by six suicide bombers storming the governor's compound and the police chief's compound. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attacks.
