A man held captive by the Boston Marathon bombers after they had carjacked and kidnapped him in 2013 recounted his escape at Dzhokhar Tsarnaev’s trial Thursday. Dun Meng, an app designer who was taken hostage after the Tsarnaev brothers carjacked his Mercedes, identified Dzhokhar Tsarnaev as his kidnapper and called it “the most terrifying moment, the most difficult decision in my life.” Meng fled from the car when the Tsarnaevs stopped at a gas station, escaping to another gas station across the street. Meng testified he had lied to the brothers that his car was not equipped with a tracking system, which proved key to police tracing it to a street in Watertown, Massachusetts. Tamerlan was killed in a firefight that morning, while Dzhokhar was captured after hiding in a boat the next night.
