Bush 43 Does ALS Ice Bucket Challenge
Former Commander-in-Chief Gets Drenched For Charity
The Ice Bucket Challenge to strike out ALS has dominated Facebook pages and Twitter feeds of young and old for most of August. Enough people have gotten cold and wet on camera in the last few weeks that the ALS Association is reporting donations of $31.5 million so far this August, compared to $1.9 million this time last year.
Everyone from the International Union of Celebrities to certain titans of politics couldn’t buck the trend—President Obama and the House of Representatives, who have declined, notwithstanding—and that has culminated in the participation of George W. Bush, 43rd president of the United States and exceedingly good sport. Watch as he and former First Lady Laura have some fun for a good cause.
