Ben Carson on Thursday canceled his upcoming trip to Israel, Kenya, Nigeria, and Zambia due to “active credible” threats from the Boko Haram terror group, according to his business manager, Armstrong Williams. “Boko Haram in Kenya and Nigeria had an interest in Dr. Carson,’’ Williams told The New York Times. “We certainly weren’t going to endanger his life or anybody else’s life.’’ Carson officials have said Williams has no official role in the retired neurosurgeon’s presidential campaign and there have been reports of tensions between him and other members of the staff. The Daily Beast has reached out to Williams to ask if he himself made this decision.
