As the murder of Hollywood publicist Ronni Chasen continues to befuddle police, Chasen’s brother Larry Cohen, a screenwriter, is sharing his own theory. “I still think this was most likely a case of road rage,” he told The New York Times. Cohen also dismisses the notion that Harold Smith—the man who told neighbors he was hired to kill Chasen and then killed himself when police linked him to the crime—had anything to do with it. “This guy was a deranged person who just made that up,” Cohen said. Police, meanwhile, are increasingly skeptical of Smith’s involvement.
