Ahmadinejad Wants to Talk
In a speech today on the 30th anniversary of the Iranian Revolution, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said today that “the world is entering an era of dialogue” and that “the Iranian nation is ready for talks [with the U.S.] but in a fair atmosphere with mutal respect.” Ahmadinejad, of course, will be working with President Obama, but it seems he’s still hung up on the last guy: “[The] world does not want to see the dark age of Bush repeated” and "The fate that befell Bush — and it was a very bad fate — can be viewed as a lesson for most of the people that ... want to impose their will on the world.”

He has to "sound" like he wants this, with out doing so - he risks loosing to his opponent running against him. He is not serious.

He may be serious. Most Iranians like the west. IF HE LOSES IN THE ELECTION THAT WOULD BE EVEN BETTER.

He wants the credibility that it would seemingly give him. No one here is fooled by him. Least of all Obama.

I'm really starting to dislike The Daily Beast. How is an actress leaving a bonafide soap opera like Grey's Anatomy bigger news than Ahmandinejad saying he's willing to talk to the US? That's just piss poor priorities.
