Ahmadinejad Pipes Up Again
And the verbal spat continues: President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad struck back at President Obama on Saturday for praising protesters who showed “bravery in the face of brutality.” Ahmadinejad responded to Obama’s comments—which also called the current violence in the region “outrageous” and hailed defeated candidate Mousavi as “[capturing] the imagination” of Iranians—by asking: "Why did he interfere and comment in a way that disregards convention and courtesy?" He went on to say the West would regret its “meddlesome stance.” Meanwhile, defeated candidates Mousavi and Karroubi rejected the offer by the Guardian Council to go over the election results by a special committee, saying the review would not be independent or broad enough. At least 17 people have been killed and 100 injured in the post-election violence.

Who Ahmadinejad should be blaming is Lindsey Graham(the wizard of Oz lollepop kid) and John MClost the race MCcain and the other right wing extremist in the party who always wants to think there way is the right way "WRONG" We tryed there way the last 8years with Bush Regime and alls we got was a dictatorship of our own with propaganda tatics .But I told the president not to fall for it and he did anyway "NOW" look were being blamed. The republicans and there secret society agenda "CAN NOT" be trusted there up too something when there going up against or President in front of the world to see they have there right. But when are we going to wake up and say to these tyrants enough is enough.Maybe we can learn from the Iranian people how to fight back peace fully when we get robbed by the republican secret society agenda.Mark my word they are up to something.....! Mr.President do not fall for the trickery any longer from the Neo-Cons they are powermongers fake's and frauds and they will gain control by COVET-MEANS they are not on the LEVEL...!

You are the reason people hate this country.
Landslide Mahmoud and his Supreme Fuehrer should apologize to their own people, and then do the honorable thing and shoot themselves like the Nazi war criminals they are. That takes unmitigated gall, to demand that we apologize for daring to criticize them for massacring their own people. It will be a cold day in hell before these people ever hear an apology from me or any other America. Nor do we want to negotiate with this regime, or grant it any concessions. Public opinion in this country will not permit it.
I second the apology motion and other the suggestion and suggest O follow in his footsteps and do the same.
Classic! Ahjad is a certified Rovian Genius! he can turn white to black just talking about it! and OUR MAN is still cool, praising courage, condeming brutality, and reserving judgement about the legitimacy of the election. nice!
Yes to all. I seem to remember OBL and many Middle Eastern countries commenting on our election. No matter. I think his taunting of Obama by arresting UK officials is a bit too far and he is having too much fun but he plays the game well.

sorry, I do get carried away sometimes (okay, more often than not) praising OUR MAN for doing his job well, I admit it. BUSTED!
It's just that it feels good to have a president who is doing his job well for the first time in eight years and that i can make the sound of applause rather than slapping my forehead and looking stupid by association all over the world.
I mean really, because he has a moderate tone now, if the situation escalates, he will have a reputation of someone not given to rash action. Any action taken, therefore, will be more credible.
The elephant in every conversation are the nuclear weapons in Iran's future.
This should be one of the priority topics in every conversation regarding the religious fanatics who become fascist and brutal whenever necessary , as we've seen.
They want a nuclear bomb. This is their goal.
Do you have any doubt that once they develop a nuclear weapon, that the Taliban won't have it 20 minutes later?
Do you think these fundamentalist suicide jihad thinkers will be afraid to detonate in Tel Aviv or New York City, or wherever they want?
When you think Ahmadinejad, remember
NUCLEAR WEAPONS.

I read alot of what gets posted but i am all mixed up with alot of things here.Okay, all I can say again,Every reporter, embassies, journalist,Get out.He is coming at everyone with avengance. They have to blame the uprising, everywhere and on everyone BUT Themselves. He is evil, and capable of everythign.!!And after Jews and Christians.
Think about it amp, you are sitting at home making up the rules for your kids and the household, some kid in the neighborhood is allowed up past your household's bedtime, the kids scream they should be able to also, you spank and the rest of the neighborhood thinks you cruel, it's your house and your rules, you don't want anyone messing with your authority, your kids complain and you spank them for whining and then you ground them for playing with that kid that stays up late and he calls you mean, we would pull back, look at our kids and wonder if it is worth it, or we could clamp down harder on our kids and call the neighbor and tell them their son is no longer welcome in your yard, around your home and kids, you would have to clamp down harder on your kids until they either accepted it or not. Diff is, Iranians are not children and Ahjad is not their father and Christians try to teach their kids to be in the world not of it and I am not sure what Islam says but I get the feeling it might involve losing a finger or hand or foot or something outrageous, like execution. Make sense?
So much hysteria, knee-jerk empty posturing, sheer ignorance of Middle Eastern history... So many of the comments here as as absurd as Ahmadinejad!
What is reassuring above all is President Obama's cool and dismissive handling of Ahmadinejad. The western world needs and is fortunate enough to have an American president whom is not a hot head, that does not take absurd insults as a personal affront and inasmuch does not rise to the bait thereby feeding the Iranian regime's propaganda machine beyond their own lies.
To do so, no matter how much the man on the street here wants to strike a blow, would of course undermine both protesters and more critically, the growing splits in the body politic.
The 1979 revolution fermented for more than a year and today, so much lies beneath the surface. History takes a little time and in the modern age of 24 hour news, twitter, election posturing etc... everyone wants instant results.
To wit - Iran; a quick cake walk of shock and awe and tank tearing across the desert greeted by joyous tears and petals...
The lighter Obama treads... the deeper Ahmadinejad digs himself. Even the Iranians aren't buying Ahmadinejad's chain of events.
P.S. Does anyone else want our presidents to have a boxing match? I'd love to see Obama kick Ahmad's @#$.
OUR MAN's got reach, but the little fella's a scrapper!
NO!
I think Obama's seeming detachment
Is driving the Iranian hardliners crazy.
He's not giving them the ability to hide
Behind 'The Great Satan' excuse that they
Conveniently resort to when they need
A scapegoat for their internal problems.
PS I know you're joking rhetorically- Hawn.
I am indeed joking. (Except I'd really love to see it.) Ahmad really does need the crap beaten out of him. (Or maybe sense beaten into him...) I don't believe in violence, but some people only understand one thing.
Thank you.
