Blackwater Founder a Murderer?

Was Blackwater—the military contractor accused of abuses and overcharges in Iraq—even worse than originally thought? According to The Nation's Jeremy Scahill, who literally wrote the book about Blackwater, a former Blackwater staffer and an ex-Marine allege in a new federal court filing that the company's owner, Erik Prince, "may have murdered or facilitated the murder of individuals who were cooperating with federal authorities investigating the company." Scahill reports that "the former employee also alleges that Prince 'views himself as a Christian crusader tasked with eliminating Muslims and the Islamic faith from the globe,' and that Prince's companies 'encouraged and rewarded the destruction of Iraqi life.'" The two testified in sworn affidavits filed this week in the Eastern District of Virginia as part of a suit against Blackwater on behalf of Iraqi civilians. The pair also claim that Blackwater smuggled weapons into Iraq via Prince's private planes and hid videos, emails, and documents from the State Department. Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) told The Nation, "If these allegations are true, Blackwater has been a criminal enterprise defrauding taxpayers and murdering innocent civilians." Prince stepped down as CEO of Blackwater—which currently operates under the name of Xe Services LLC—in March. When asked about the case, a company rep said, "Unfortunately no one can help you in that area."

Did any of you see the Oprah special on Blackwater. Prince was there and made to look like the sweetest, all American support the flag and holding that apple pie from good old MOM.

Thank you for your comment on the journalists of today.

I wonder if our Congress has the balls to prosecute these guys? I wonder if this was part of the Cheney CIA money he had hidden away and was using for his own uses.

I wonder if Cheney was just another henchman, and if so, who is behind all this?

I wonder if we will ever know the truth.

when-the-whip-comes-down

Speaking of prince being a christian crusader G.W.Bush said in his major address to the nation on Sept20,2001 that this is a new kind of crusade. And I thought that remark was provocative. That his handlers would ask him not to try to provoke rioting but about a year ago I found on You tube that he said it publicly more than once. It just goes to show that the G.W.Bush m.o. was to create anarchy and then clean up the mess. Kind of like post invasion Iraq..... Think of how profitable that was for Halburton, Blackwater and all his buddies. I have a link to a website by a British investigative reporter who talks about the failure of our news media and for an added bonus, a dam good story,to boot. http://www.gregpalast.com/the-goods-on-goodling-and-the-keys-to-the-kingdom /

when-the-whip-comes-down

The news media was affected by deregulation since the Carter administration where the cons were free to gobble up all the outlets. This placed the news media on one side of the isle. I shudder to think of what could have happened. Even msnbc is owned by Rockefeller, so how much of the story do you think you are really getting?

Of course if people watched Kieth Olbermann they would already know this, as he is Always ahaed of the curve. Most people would like to dismiss him and compare him to a Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh ( or anyother right wing nut bag) but that is because most people are idiots.

Most negative opinions about Olbermann were cultivated and given life by himself.

I used to like him... until he started playing purely party politics.
