Blagojevich and the Grinch

Given the recent revelation of Patti Blagojevich's rather adult vocabulary (she was caught on tape dropping several F and S bombs), it might come as a surprise that she runs a Children’s Reading Club in Illinois that touts the importance of "building a good vocabulary." Just one week before her husband's was busted trying to sell Barack Obama's vacated Senate, she selected the club's December pick: How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Given her husband's recent indictment, it's safe to assume that the First Lady's Christmas season has been somewhat jeopardized. What's not clear is who plays the role of the Grinch in her real-life drama. Is it hard-nosed US Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald, reported whistle blower Rahm Emanuel or Barack Obama, who made a phone call a few months ago that may have led to Blagojevich's downfall?

Who cares if Patti has a potty mouth in what normally are private areas. As long as she keeps it down in front of the children. That isn't what I want to know about her, so quit trying to divert our attention yet again.

I watched a film bit which showed her walking along side her husband and entering what appeared to be an airplane door? Despite her neutral face, she really didn't appear to be so happy to be near him. She pulled away from his touch, and walked faster to enter the vehicle ahead of him. She did not appear happy with the role of supportive wife at all.

My question is, is she angry with him because she had no idea about his activities which have now dragged her into the mix, or is she mad at him for being so arrogant as to expose himself in such an idiotic way. Is she also guilty of collusion in these schemes, or just an "innocent" bystander used by her husband to gain money and power. After all, he was also barganing to get a high paying job for her. Did she know it? Was she enthusiastic about it? Did she help plan it? And is she now upset that his conceit has snatched it away? Is she unhappy to discover the depth of the stupidity the man she married is capable of?

Also, I do not worry that Roddie might appoint a new Senator before being dragged out of office. We will throw out anyone who he might appoint, and accepting such a nomination would end that political career anyway. Anyone who accepts such an appointment probably has to have someone maintain a memory board so he knows what day it is when he wakes up. Of course, I have always thought that political offices were flooded with arrogant airheads. There must also be a lot of memory boards.

In summary, stop with the frivolous details and keep to the meat of the matter. Bring us the details that really mean something.
