Blago Set for Reality TV Show
Former Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich may be screaming "get me out of here!" here this summer, but, if he has his way, it won't be prison he's looking to escape. Blagojevich has asked a court to ease his travel restrictions so he can go to Costa Rica for the filming of NBC's new reality show, I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here. (Oh please, judge, let him go!) According to the network, a deal has already been signed and Blago "will be a participant on the show pending the court's approval." The series, which was a hit in the UK, first aired for American audiences in 2003 as part of ABC's lineup. During the show, ten celebrities must live in the jungle with few comforts and compete in challenges to raise money for charity. NBC is planning to air the show four nights a week, hoping that a successful launch will fuel their entire summer schedule.
