Bloomberg: Hillary Backstabbed NYC
What's a chief diplomat from New York supposed to do? Michael Bloomberg said Hillary Clinton double-crossed New York City by deciding that foreign diplomats should be exempt from certain property taxes, costing the city $260 million. "It's totally unfair," the mayor said. Clinton's former colleague Senator Chuck Schumer also expressed dismay: "We're going to find a way to make sure that these embassies pay and that New York is made whole." The State Department said it is making the change because other countries have threatened to change property taxes on American property abroad. Adding insult to injury, Bloomberg says the State Department is late on paying the city $66 million for police security at United Nations missions.

the United Nations is the most pussy organization in the world-- why isn't it in DC? I'll tell you why- the "diplomats" want to play in NY, and their wives want to shop- get rid of it altogether-- and as far as bloomberg is concerned, get the third-term-end-around, too-rich-for-any-other-candidate-to-matter, napoleonic schmuck OUT along with them

Amen to what you said, guiltybystander. Thanks for saying so clearly what we all know: The UN here in New York City is the only place half of these reps act human.
Hizzhonor? He's going to buy himself another term in office by powerbrokering his way to the top. He had no choice but to hold the mayoral for another term so he would be better positioned to shoot for a senate seat, or more. Dare I say a national office?
As he sees it, who better than Michael Bloomberg for the next US President? Just watch and see.

Imagine, NYC becoming more like California everyday. Playground to the rich and famous, the wealthy and worldly and symbol of the concept of "melting pot" and they can't pay their bills. Perhpas NYC needs to abolish their property tax altogether and set up a user fee for the privilege of living and shopping there! Why be upset with Clinton? She is just another transplant from Arkansas! I guess importing culture is expensive. What flavor for NYC now Mr. Bloomberg?

Nice to see a little infighting with Chucky Cheez Schumer and Hillary.
My money is on the Carpet bagger Hillary.

I don't know why Bloomie is whining, he'll just find another tax or fee to rape the people and make it up. They voted this guy, twice, they deserve the rape
guiltybystander
just look at his media blitz, MaliciousD-- he's a man of the people-- if the people have over 1 billion dollars in assets (I haven't voted for him once, but here I am stuck with him probably for at least two more terms, cuz he's so damn good for NY, he can't stop himself)

Diplomatic immunity has been a problem for decades..The tax issues inherent in this policy are an outrage but not without precedent...Many of our embassies are not taxed either!
Many are more concerned about the personal finances of the Mayor and not wwith short fall to the city...stick to topic!

NYC deserves what it gets. They made Hillary Clinton a US Senator and now she is Secretary of the State. Imagine, if she was the president, she would have told NY to go to h****. Let us see if Senator Schummer can get Mrs. Clinton to yield. Too bad Hillary was not a Republican. Otherwise Schummer will be on TV all day to criticize Clinton. Is Schummer afraid of Mrs. Clinton?

Hey, just remember there are two New York pols who want that pad on Pennsylvania Avenue. That's why you see Bloomberg bashing Hillary at every turn. They both want that plum job after Obama moves out. Too bad they don't have the MATURITY to work together, but after all, (sigh) tigers don't change their stripes.

Hillary is not a New Yorker, New York was her ladder to the the senate seat. Now, what can anybody do about anything she does or say? Let the pay backs begin for the favors rendered. Hey, its politics folks. Do they really care about us?
