Clinton and Bush Set Debate
Run, don't walk, to grab tickets for what's being billed as "The Hottest Ticket in Political History." Former Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush will face off at Radio City Music Hall on February 25, as part of a "Minds That Move the World" speakers series. The program brings together liberal and conservative thinkers, such as Karl Rove, James Carville, Al Gore, Bill Maher, and Mike Huckabee. The tickets, which go on sale Sunday, are being hawked for $60 to $1,250.

Carole65
Bill Maher?? Did the article say Bill Maher? Since when has this talking head been involved in politics?
gemstar
Bill Maher should run for office. ANY office! He's got a heart for America, though some would say he has no heart. Maher is one of the greatest satirists in America. He knows his political stuff, and he puts the clowns in DC on the reality carpet. I SOOOOOO wish I could attend this forum.
Desertpenguin
So if I buy a ticket for $1,250, does that mean Bush will be 20.8333 times smarter than if I bought a $60 ticket?
hfb1053
Bill Maher is very political. Perhaps you don't have cable.
helloricko
I'd rather see George W. and Stephen Colbert in a re-match.
RicoSuave
Since when has George W. been involved in politics?
katiewon
LMAO.
nb-moe
LMFAO!!
PRoche
W. has been involved in politics for a long time. It's leadership that he missed the boat on.
hfb1053
Right on Rico (love the handle).
rowland
I'd say the pressure falls firmly on Clinton. It's his to lose.
And when the HELL did Bill Maher earn the title "thinker?"
spotted
Clinton's to lose? It's truly a battle of wits with an unarmed man.
speakingout101
I think that what rowland meant was that George has no respect or influence to lose over this, not that Clinton will lose.

I guess politics has replaced reality TV as America's favorite diversion. Maybe now that Al Gore's revenue from the global warming crusade has fell off, he can make an economic comeback with a reality show where he and Tipper try to give up meat.
redstatebluedude
"has fell off?" Did you seriously write that? Now there's some insight into the intelligence level of the typical dittohead Gore basher.
neverlate
Where did you get the ditto-head line from? Are all you Liberals that creatively challenged that you have to repeat the same inane buzz words over and over again?
NewyorkerR
There is no man on this earth that need a bashing more the Al Gore just to bad it will be with words
Bamos99
There you are again...are you insane?
glenndale
I am NewyorkerR. I can hit keybored. I can maik words. I like tooo hit. Ugh.
Warehouseone
really?
pennsykid2000
The guy who got the most votes for President in 2000 but was denied the White House "needs a bashing" more than the guy who came in second and then wrecked the country and the Middle East? Typical wingnut logic. Gore has done what he could to raise awareness of climate change, trying to improve the world. Bush made the world a much worse place than he found it.
wasabi23
since when has george w. bush had a mind? much less one that 'moves the world'?
redstatebluedude
Now that's hardly a fair matchup of intellects, is it? They should save Shrub for the "minds that wreck the world" series.
speakingout101
ZZZING! hahahaha
NewyorkerR
im sorry but Al Gore is not a great thinker. just a scam artist
Bamos99
Why would you say such an insipid thing...on what do you base this?
spotted
Probably his Exxon holdings.
Warehouseone
I guess you don't believe in global warming.
Lets be rational.
If Al gore and most of the World Scientists are wrong the Earth will still be a great place to live we will have less pollution and more efficient energy.
If you and other global warming doubters are wrong where will we not have a comfortable planet to live on. What do we do then?
I'm sorry, I'm going to go with science on this one.
Charlemagne712
once i finish my phd im going to a country that respects its scientists
kdj-kdj
So you side with those who say it's better to believe in god and be wrong than to not believe and be wrong... therefore you might as well believe in god?
JeffreyinLA
War criminal George Bush (and his boss, Dick Cheney) ought to be in the Hauge next to the other war criminal, Karadzic. Shame on Obama for allowing the greatest presidential crime since Watergate to go unpunished. And that camera whore, Bill Clinton, would pose with Hitler if it got him on the front page just one more time. Sickening. Both of them.
when-the-whip-comes-down
The only thing that would account for the previous administration from having to account for their crimes would be if there was a new world order in place.
Carole65
I think the new administration is working on that.
kdj-kdj
You all are fools.
There can be no 'new' world order being that we've all been fleeced into thinking it was ever any different.
periscope
I agree that the depraved moron, Bushboy, should be in the docket of the Hague to answer for war crimes with his evil partner, Cheney.
But it's unrealistic to expect Obama to prosecute them. He's got more than enough on his plate with two wars, a collapsed economy and unrepentent and dangerous financial services community.
Going after these two low-lifes would consume the WH, and the vast majority of the American people want him to get us out of the messes Bushboy and Cheney got us into, and to hell with both of them.
kdj-kdj
It would bring true social unrest.
khepri
Yawn. No news coming out of this debate except what we already knew about respective, bullet-proof policy positions and respective capabilities of each as speakers. Yawn.
Sharksta
Exactly... Even if I had the money, why would I waste a dime of it on an event like this, except for the pure amusement of watching W. getting the daylights kicked out of him by Slick Willie? There's really not much of a contest here. We have already seen the kind of leadership and communication skills (or total lack thereof?) coming from both of them for several years now... It would be much more entertaining to watch the two of them duke it out in hand-to-hand combat. Now that is something I would be willing to watch on Pay per view.

Global warming is caused by the farts from cows, so the scientist tell us. Gore eats a lot of cow meat ( have you seen him lately). Maybe we can save the planet if he eats less cow meat and insulates his mansion. This could at least be a start.
Warehouseone
and the world is flat.
pennsykid2000
Even better would be if right-wing TV and radio talking heads shut up and lowered their release of hot air. That should limit global warming, as well as reduce the misinformation being spread on the right.
matthewbenzor
The Secret Society brothers are going to be together again, Is'nt that sweet its the brotherhood is'nt that George did'nt you say you two where brothers
kdj-kdj
Matt... it's not a secret... and you're playing into their hands with everything you say.
You are a dupe. The more you bray the louder they laugh.
Garrison
Bush was appointed guest debaterer by Poppi, Ma Barker Bush and Jeb.
