Colts Shock Pats, 35-34
New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick isn’t used to being second-guessed, but this one will hang over his head for awhile: Belichick went for 4th-and-2 against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday night, even though his team was on its own 28 yard line and up by six with two minutes remaining in the game. The Colts, who had already scored twice in the fourth quarter, scored against behind quarterback Peyton Manning, completing a 17-point fourth-quarter rally. The Colts remain undefeated on the year.

Hell I don't even understand football that well and for sure you'd have to say the Patriots coach definately blew it.

Belichick basically told his defense that he didn't think they could stop the Colts. He was right.

If you leave Peyton with even seconds left on the clock, he will put up points. Lesson learned!

Ouch!! This doesn't do Bill's rep any good. It's one thing to go for it at midfield..but the 28 yd line???

Both teams stiil win their divisions
But Pats just lost any chance at homefield and weather advantage

How many coaches would EVER go for it on their 28, up by six. That goes totally against all wisdom of the football gods. So is the defense livid or embarassed?

Belichick gambled and lost. If the Pats had made the first down, he'd be deified (again) today.
But the answer to the question is that Belichick made a terrible decision and paid a price for doing so.

As a Pat's fan, all I can say is geez Bill what were you thinking. Since I'm also a Red Sox fan, all I can say is, tomorrow is another day!
Thank you.
