Cuomo Plotting Against Caroline?

Andrew Cuomo
Mike Groll/AP

New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo has denied wanting Hillary Clinton's Senate seat, but behind the scenes, a different story is unfolding. According to The New York Times, Cuomo's aide Joseph Percoco has been urging labor leaders and upstate officials to oppose Caroline Kennedy. According to one prominent upstate Democrat who Percoco spoke with, Kennedy's name was never specifically mentioned: "[Percoco] said, 'Don't you think it should be someone who understands upstate? Don't you think it should be someone with experience? Shouldn't it be somebody who knows New York better?' " Cuomo's office denied any effort to undermine Kennedy.

Where are all the Palin bashers whose main concern was with letting an inexperienced woman "get in"? I don't hear their voices at the moment!

I really don't know how Andrew Cuomo can even be considered for the senate seat. Many may not remember but it was Andrew that really started this housing crisis when he was at HUD. It was Andrew, who began selling those properties, to supposed 501c(3)'s years ago. It was his friends, you may remember, that were sold 10, 12 properties at a time, at some ridiculously low price that everyday people, for whom HUD was supposed to help, were not able to get. Those properties were rehab(ed) promptly, then flipped making hundreds of thousands of dollars , while the little man was, we now know, being steered into over-priced properties being sold by the very same people. Where's the justice? Andrew has had a great ride on his fathers coattails. It's time to get a real job like everybody else.
