Fed. Buildings Flunk Terrorism Test

Homeland security doesn't look like such a high priority to the security guards at 10 federal buildings in four U.S. cities: A report by the Government Accountability Office set to be released on Wednesday reveals that undercover agents smuggled real bomb parts into all 10 buildings and went so far as to assemble the bombs in bathrooms. The agents captured a photo of a security guard sleeping on the job, and also reported an outrageous incident in which "a woman placed an infant in a carrier on an X-ray machine while retrieving identification." The careless guard on duty actually allowed the baby to pass through the machine. Expect major reforms for the Federal Protection Service, the organization in charge of security at the buildings.

What about protection of the (sea)ports of entry into the United States, you know the ones the Saudis wanted the franchise to that the Bush Administration thought was a jolly good idea? What about those, are they safe? But not to worry, right? Let's slam the Feds instead.

Oh, and squiggy, whatever you manage to dig up, wasn't 2006 well after 2001. Lots of Luck as opposed to your supposed benign Laugh out Loud.

Guess you are not a shipping magnate who employs a bevy of international maritime lawyers, as you have not answered this problem which is of concern, but you just laugh out loud. What else is new?

Homeland Security...a useless department, conceived by Cheney, Bush and Rummy. A blatant waste of taxpayer dollars. Shut it down and use the money for health care.

Our "homeland" (that word feels bad) is not in any way secured better now by "Homeland Security" than it was before that department was wastfully created.

I agree. Homeland Security is a boondogle and a complete mess. Manpower goes to chasing illegal immigrants to placate those who have an unnatural fear of friendly neighbors. Make sense?

This is another example of what happens when youcreate an unfunded mandate. Our homeland security should have been MAD TIGHT before we started picking fights across the globe!

On the downside, "Fed Buildings Flunk Terrorism Test". On the upside, it isn't really something to get worried about anyway. Someone's more likely to be killed in a car crash and regardless the "War on Terror" is effing fake, nothing but a series of wars for energy resource dominance. Look into its theaters America, you'll find out the truth about why the U.S. is in Afghanistan and Iraq and meddles in Somalia and the Philippines. It's all about oil and natural gas, their exploration, extraction and transport to market. The "War on Terror" is America's effort to gain as much control as possible over as much of the world's remaining oil and nat.gas as possible. The war pigs who have a hard-on for all this however know that the American people wouldn't get behind the idea of neo-colonial wars for energy resources so it's packaged as something that is for your own collective safety. Oldest trick in the book.

You have a valid argument gen, it digresses when you quantify abstract, even if we are ever attacked again, we still lose so many more people to medical accidents, drunk drivers, plane crashes and train wrecks, cancer, the list goes on. I would guess that we have more abortions than deaths from terrorism. We are talking about going green and saving our planet from sure global warning destruction while terrorists are killing innocent people. You can curse me if you like but I just don't like to see a good argument go to waste.

The United States of America flunks the terrorism test.
You cannot a terrorist attack via inspection of incoming materials and goods.
Hundreds of Trunk/Trailer containers come into the country everyday. Less than one percent are searched.
(And do you think a terrorist is going to run a bomb thru a metal detector??)
These "tests" are a farce.
