Gaddafi's Son Shoots Birds with Brits

As Libya has made nice with the West, its political royalty has adopted the traditional pastimes of the British upper class. Or at least, one of them has. Saif al-Islam Gaddafi, son of Libyan dictator Moammar Gaddafi and the man who escorted Lockerbie bomber Abdelbaset al Megrahi to a hero's welcome back in his country, recently enjoyed a charming gathering with some of Britain's most respected politicians, according to Charles Moore at the Spectator. Tony Blair's wife Cherie was at the partridge shoot, plus other unnamed guests with "double-barreled or European princely names." Gaddafi likes the sport so much he's blown away nearly 40,000 partridges in Tripoli, once in the company of a Formula 1 driver. Moore writes that shooting birds is preferable to "blowing up airliners," but it’s odd that British leaders would associate with "a member of the family responsible for the biggest terrorist atrocity ever committed against British citizens."

when-the-whip-comes-down

"it's odd that British leaders would associate with "a member of the family responsible for the biggest terrorist atrocity ever committed against British citizens."
Another friggin joke... The evidence that was used at that disaster to tie Libya was a circuit board used to detonate the bomb... that circuit board did not even look like it was associated with a airline crash... much less a bomb detonation.
It just goes to show that there is the "official story" that we are supposed to have faith in its validity... and then there is the story that is supported evidence and the behavior of the players.

Another friggin joke..----when-the-whip-comes-down

when-the-whip-comes-down-- lol-- makes you want to think -- don't it ????

It has become clear to anyone following the case, that al Megrahi would have to be released, because the head of a Swiss company Mebo, Edwin Bollier, admitted, after the statute of limitations for such a crime had expired, that key evidence used in the trial had actually been faked. Also, in June 2007 the Scottish Criminal Cases Review Commission, upon a three year investigation, reported that there may have been a miscarriage of justice.

Now all we want is a "real" investigation into 9/11.

Remember even in September 10, 2008--- A new WorldPublicOpinion.org poll of 17 nations finds that majorities in only nine of them believe that al Qaeda was behind the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the United States.

Anyone who thinks that blowing away innocent animals is a pleasant pastime likely has the same bloody taste in humans. The whole lot is despicable as far as I'm concerned. It may be the 21st century, but humans have leagues to go before they emerge out of barbarity.

"...humans have leagues to go before they emerge out of barbarity."

In particular, those who would foist their values upon others.

I like Charles Moore and The Spectator, but whether Libya was guilty of the bombing of the PanAm plane is subject to serious doubt.

It is likely Lybia was not involved in the PanAm disaster. Aside from that, do we not recall the influx of Nazis to the UK and the US to work on rockets after WWll?
