TROUBLE BREWING

Glenn Beck vs. Sarah Palin?

Glenn Beck may have some explaining to do after a sexist riff on fellow conservative Sarah Palin. Addressing a comment by Palin that she could see her and Glenn Beck, who she called "a hoot," possibly running for office together, Beck said on his radio show he wouldn't play second banana to the former Vice Presidential nominee. "Beck-Palin, I’ll consider," Beck said. "But Palin-Beck — can you imagine, can you imagine what an administration with the two of us would be like? What? Come on! She’d be yapping or something, and I’d say, 'I’m sorry, why am I hearing your voice? I’m not in the kitchen.'" Palin has been famously sensitive towards perceived sexism, recently criticizing a Newsweek cover of degrading her by showing her in running clothes. Will Beck be the next to feel her wrath?

So her first choice for VP tells her she belongs in the kitchen.

This woman is a walking dark cloud like Bush. Gaff after gaff.

Unfortunately for her most Republican men are going to feel that way. I guess Palin's going to have to go with Bachman.

I would also like to see if she goes at Beck like she did Letterman. Now that would be a civil war.

The 9/12ers vs the Palinites.

Far as Beck. He doesn't have to explain anything.
Republican women know there place. Barefoot and pregnant while in the kitchen.

Any woman with some self respect would never be a Republican.
Or at least one that likes to get paid.

When the Republicans in Congress voted against giving women equal pay for the same work as a man.

The % of women supporting the Republican party should have dropped immediately to the level of minorities supporting the Republican party.

But there they are.
.
Asking for the R. Kelly.

It is remarkable that you make the comments you do. Martin Luther King was a republican, but one of his aides, a fellow by the name of Rev. Jesse Jackson, that opportunist who ran away when MLK was shot but came back to get in front of the cameras, was in the same category as Yassar Arafat, a man who didn't care about his people but saw an easy way to a quick buck and power. The smear that came out of JJ mouth for the last 20 years and combined with the Unions and others who have influence over others has seduced the black population for decades. However, ask successful blacks who they support!!!

Democrats use crisis after crisis and innuendo and slander to steer the public and have for as long as I can remember. They go into office for lifelong jobs, and steer millions into their special interest. Republicans generally fail at that, because they tend to turn on those that are guilty of doing that. Democrats make excuses for it, encourage it, and sell it as "dedication". When history is honestly written about the Kennedy's you'll find a corrupt, self absorbed, elitest. criminal family that was supported because of the "infastructure" they had in Boston, not because they accomplished anything.

John Kerry married money to get into power, and "traded" international assets to support his campaign. Barney Frank defended his boyfriend for running a gay bordello out of their home. John Edwards sold the party that his was the new saint and has proven to be as disloyal to his family as he was to his state. John Anderson dared the press to chase him and caught him fooling around on a boat which killed his Presidential campaign. The current governor of NY has his episodes of stupidity and bad judgement. Rostenkowski was put in jail for his history in Chicago. In California, Schwartznegger was elected because of the horrible fiscal irresponsibility of the previous governor and the one sided house of reps California has, which continued to date, and you can see the Democratic fiscal tornadoes in every major city they have controlled for decades.

Keep in mind that it is the Democrats that have the only active member of Congress who was a legitimate former head of the KKK, so I suggest you take a serious look in the mirror.

The continued fuss over Palin and the misquotes of Beck just reinforce that the smear goes on.

Democrats get elected because of their promise "to take care of you". Republicans ask you to take care of yourself. Hmmm, I wonder who really is looking out for our best interest?

You can not have a battle of the wits with a liberal; they come un-armed. The only things that they have in their arsenal are smears, stereotypes and the latest political talking points supplied by their sheepmasters. If they exercised a little independent thought now and then, they would realize how dumb they sound. The Republicans (or more importantly, Conservatives) that I know, don't give a rat's a55 about what Palin just said or what's being said about her. If you notice, it's the Dems that are constantly talking about her. It goes hand in hand with the fact that tabloids target their marketing at (Not just women) but, Women Democrats. Do you "know your place" yet good little sheep? Some Republicans just fall into the trap set by Liberals, defending someone who the DEMOCRATS labeled "the face of conservatism". Most conservative-Republicans don't need a leader or face to bow down to. We don't need a label or a feel-good group to belong to or even a "party". All of those things demonstrate individual weakness and lack of free choice. No; the Democrats have a Monopoly in that field.

Constitutional and oath, both great posts dudes. You have to admit though chaps, this is the sort of fodder that makes it easier for the left to attack.Palin and Beck are going to do nothing but make life a misery for the GOP. The opportunity for ridicule here is not a good thing for the right, and being laughed at is the kiss of death in politics.Check the glee in the posts under these.

Waiting for the inevitable... here it is. I have a list of non-stories on Barrack and Michelle, right here... oh, they were all determined to BE stories because they opened their mouth. Sorry. Beck and Palin (order determined my Glenn) are publicity whores, therefore their comments, especially when the comments include potential presidential tickets, are news. Why would anyone try to deny the electorate information about the next presidential ticket?

Saying this is a "non stor(y)", is akin to saying Beck and Palin's comments are superfluous, not well thought out, or... God forbid, unintelligent, sexist and crass. Or, they could be the well thought out, sincere thoughts of a person who will never be subservient to a woman and therefore consciously capable of sexism for the PURPOSE of creating a story.

Either way it IS a story.

The article is from "Think Progress?"

Aren't they far left, and if so, what are the
chances comments by Beck were taken out of context,
and that he just may have been kidding around ?

The extreme right (birthers) and far left (truthers)
seem pretty much intellectually dishonest.

The media's attitude seems to be . . . Just throw it against the wall
and if it sticks . . . oh well . . . truth be damned as long as it sells ?

What percentage of what the far right and far left media
spews is taken out of context ?

Seriously, does the truth matter to the media anymore ?

If you're talking about the Fox News / Rush Limbaugh media, then no, the truth doesn't matter, sophia5.

In fact, insinuations, distortions, out-of-context sound bites, and lies garner higher ratings than the truth. And we all know that ratings are what matter most.

The mental illness called OCD has now gone political. Those that are most affected imagine that they are wealthy and independent of government assistance. There is help on the horizon. A surgical procedure called cingulotomy has cured hundreds. Doctors drill deep into the skull and thread wires into an area called the anterior cingulate. It connects to emotional centers of the brain where political choices are made. The surgery can be recommended by the courts for those that express violent views.

Predictable, but funny none the less.

Next we can expect to see christer nut-job Mike Huckabee
piling on with more derision towards Palin.

christer nut-job Sarah Palin doesn't have the backbone to stand up to this sort of criticism. christer nut-job Sarah Palin may strike back but the damage is done.

christer nut-job Sarah Palin's campaign of victim-hood continues.

christer nut-job Sarah Palin must be "the chosen one" otherwise she would not be persecuted just like that dead-guy-on-a-stick gee-zuzz.

The world watches as christer nut-job Sarah Palin carries her heavy crucifix to her own political execution. Palin just never thought Glenn Beck and Mike Huckabee would be the ones flogging her all the way.

Exactly, MaeQueen. I actually listened to that bit on Glenn's radio show and it was totally tongue-in-cheek. The "trouble brewing" with this supposed story is that it's a complete fabrication. Why doesn't the author instead write about something shockingly relevant (and completely pathetic) like the fact that Obama, the President of the United States, is soliciting $500,000 in donations from his followers to refute Palin's book--a book he said he was "probably not" going to read? Glenn is actually making jokes about Palin unlike the Pres and his fellow Libs who, although they want everyone to think they don't take her seriously, are in fact deadly afraid of her (not to mention terrified of Beck). Tell me, who is in control here?
