Grand Jury Investigates John Edwards
Okay, so it’s the National Enquirer, but they’re the ones who broke the John Edwards-Rielle Hunter story in the first place, so maybe it’s worth paying attention to: The tabloid is reporting that Andrew Young, the aide to Edwards who pretended that Hunter’s child was his own, met with a federal grand jury investigating the payment of hush money to Hunter on Thursday. Young appeared at a federal building in Raleigh, North Carolina at 8:30 am. According to the Enquirer, “Insiders believe he is ‘pulling a John Dean’ - testifying against his former boss in exchange for immunity so he won't be liable for perjury when his tell-all about the John Edwards Conspiracy is published.”

Thats standard operating procedure. Immunize the little crooks to work up to the big crook....in this case the foppish and foolish John Edwards.
And I gotta give it to the Inquirer - our MSM will only follow this when it is inevitable.
After all, these were Democratic campaign funds - that is beyond investigation.
They really have stayed on him haven't they, I have got to agree with you, really, why has it taken so long for them to look into this?
Squiggs, you know why. The same reason the media covered up for JFK and Clinton, their candidate cannot be besmirched until he/she is out of power or the evidence is too overwhelming. In this case, a baby and collaborator is overwhelming evidence.
I'm a liberal who has absolutely no respect whatsoever for John Edwards. Never liked him. Never trusted him. Don't assume that the "liberal" (which is a myth) media won't follow this story once a publication like AP or NYT runs with it.
Its about time Mr.Edwards broke both laws Gods and mans.You know he paid her out of the he money raised on the campaign trail.I would be outraged if I donated money to his campaign when it was being used to pay for his mistress or lets just say "HOOKER" because he was paying for sex from Mrs.Hunter and they tryed to hide by saying she was video taping his run for the presidency.COME ON please give me a break already.What's Sad is Mrs.Edwards "KNEW" and tryed to protect him.Now you see the difference between Mrs.Sanford and Mrs .Edwards, except one got a book deal.Mr Edwards should not be able to come back to politic's."WHY" he robbed his supporters and should pay them back if you ask me.Its time for both Snake's edwards& sanford to slither away into some crack .
