Hannity to Reply to The Daily Show
Sean Hannity was caught red-handed; now is he going to fess up? Hannity is going to address complaints after The Daily Show host Jon Stewart caught him doctoring footage of a protest rally on his show. Hannity aired footage of a 9/12 rally and claimed that it was from Michele Bachmann’s much smaller November 5 rally—Stewart caught the deception when he noticed that the trees were green in the footage, even though it is fall. Fox News would not comment on the video except to say “Sean will address this on his show tonight.”

All of these FOX pundits here thought that it was such a farce that the Administration was taking FOX to task for not being truthful. FOX said that it would hold this Administration's "feet to the fire." How does it feel to have the shoe on the other foot? Now FOX will be scrutinized by the media on their every word and action. Perhaps they will finally live up to Fair and Balanced. Now look who's laughing!
How does one reply with any dignity or integrity to a 'fake', albeit much more accurate and timely, news show that has called you out on your own propaganda??? I almost want to see that, but don't want to give Fox a ratings boost...guess I'll just wait to watch the Daily Show!

If he and the Fox producers are smart at all, they will learn from Jim Kramer and just apologize, lyingly say it was an unintentional mistake, and move on...because if he goes all billegerent and high and mighty, Stewart will just continue to expose him for the farse of a human being that he is by pulling up reels and reels of similar deceit by Hannity in the past, and probably clips of Hannity criticizing similar but less blatant dishonest behavior of people on the left.
My hope is that this is exactly hwat happens, and that Hannity ends up on the Daily show.
Jon Stewart will continue to show how much of a farce the Fox News is no matter what. I especailll loved it when Jon Stewert made a mockery of Glenn BEck when he claimed that America already had the best Health Care in the world. But, he showed footage of Beck whining (as always) about the how it was the worst after his surgery.......on numerous occasions. But, when Obama wants to make changes, it's all of a sudden the best and needs no Bill to reform.

As I said below, I am far from an admirer of Sean Hannity. However, I really doubt that he was involved in putting together the subject video. He probably just told a staffer, "Put together a video of the protestors to show while I interview Bachmann, etc.", and the staffer -- through a screw up or intent -- added scenes from the September protests. I give Hannity some credit for manning up and accepting responsibility. Certainly his response to Stewart was far more admirable than the ones made by these cretins (Noontime obviously excepted) to you.
I still wish Fox would replace Hannity with someone of higher intelligence. Shepard Smith is another one who should be replaced for low brain activity. Major Garrett is maybe the best asset Fox has. Well, I guess Beck makes them a lot of money, but I'm mean credibility-wise.
You might be in luck, RomeoHotel. Now that Lou Dobbs has quit CNN (or more likely been fired), he is the perfect candidate to join Fox News and join Glenn Beck for rants about immigration and illegal aliens.

Do you have multiple monitors and watch them all at the same time or change channels every so often to see what's going on one of the other channels? So if they all lie and misrepresent the truth and you say that's what you expect from them, why do watch? How can you be pissed and disappointed with Hannity when they all lie?

Carole65, I watched FOX for several weeks, just to see what a close family member sees in that news site. It was the worst several weeks of TV watching I've ever experienced, bar none.
I can bring myself to read about FOX news, but I had rather eat ground glass than ever watch the TV program again. There is so little that is reasonable and intelligent, it should carry a rider before every program saying that it contains material that some might not find appropriate.
Didn't watch last night or any other night for that matter nor do I watch MSNBC but I do read as much as possible during my 45 minute ride on the train everyday to try and keep up. Can't wait to see the Daily Show tonight though.

I have not heard Hannity's explanation. It could be that some staffer compiled the video and Hannity had no knowledge of it.
That said, there is no reason for conservatives to defend Hannity. Of all the rightwing talking heads, he's clearly the dumbest. I feel sorry for his guests for having to treat him as though he has an IQ above 100. Hannity being taken off the air would be like McCain losing the 2008 election -- nothing for conservatives to cry about.
