Iranian Recount Underway

The Iranian authorities are moving full speed ahead with damage control. In an attempt to placate protesters, the Associated Press reports that on Monday, Iranian officials began a recount of 10 percent of the ballots from the disputed presidential election—odd considering that supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and the Guardian Council have already said the vote was free from major fraud. In addition, Iran released five of the nine British Embassy employees it detained on Sunday. Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad also asked a top judge to investigate the death of Neda Agha Soltan, the woman whose gruesome death made world headlines as footage of it was released on YouTube.

"damage control," indeed, the Beast said with a smirk; damage caused by the Beast and other giddy outlets of CIA propaganda

Sorry Charley, but that's just not going to wash in this case. Anyone who has eyes can see what's going in in Iran today, and blaming it on the CIA just won't pass muster any more. This regime is murdering and torturing its own by by the thousands right at this moment.

OH NO!
He's blaming the CIA! gosh, what will we do now!

The Prez will be quite agitated.

We better get on our conciliatory negotiating hat, and throw out gutless platitudes until he stops.....

Recount is the wrong word since the votes were never counted in the first place.

If past experience is any guide, the real votes won't be counted this time, either. This fascist regime will come out with any "results" it wants,as long as Landslide Mahmoud wins.

I believe nothing they say at this point. If they told we the sun was out, I'd assume it was raining, and vice versa.

I know the results will show the same thing.

And when they do, hopefully it will push the Iranian people into a revolution.

I'm not saying I prefer bloodshed, but I don't think there is any other way for the Iranian people to have their voice heard.

There was an opportunity 10 days ago when the Regime was completely surprised by the population's response to the elections. There was a window f time where the regime might have been subject to tide of sentiment that might have crossed the loyalties of the IRGC and perhaps even the Basijis.

We blew that opportunity due to our own inexperience and fear. Yes, you will hear it more and more. Obama blew it.

Here's grist for the Mill.

Hillary knows it, and understands that Sec of State, History will wonder how she got this wrong. She is now letting people know that she counseled a more forceful response.

If there is a revolution, it will be MUCH longer and MUCH bloodier due to our own President's lack of guts.

History will not be kind.

They must really think that the people are stupid ha ? Well, in this case, they are the stupid ones. If they were smart, they would be packing their bags. But, then again, re-counting phony paper ballots, may buy them some time to get on some cheaper flights to ...where? Syria? Syberia? or Hell ?

To quote the immortal bard, Judge Judy...
