Iraqis Taunt Soldiers About Favre
Iraqi detainees are attempting to hit Wisconsin soldiers where it hurts—with Brett Favre jokes. After troops revealed themselves to be Packers fans by decorating their Wisconsin National Guard camp in Baghdad with the team’s colors, the detainees there apparently realized that Favre’s move from the Packers to the Vikings was a sore point, and “things just started going downhill from there,” First Lieutenant Tim Boehnen says. "One of the big words they know now is 'shenanigan.' They'll constantly talk about 'Favre shenanigans,'” said Boehnen. “'He's so good for the Vikings,' and 'The Packers have got to really feel bad about that one.’” The detainees themselves are more focused on soccer, but appear to be quick studies of America’s signature sport. “They’ll hear guards talking about it, and then they pick up a lot of stuff from that,” said Boehnen. “They’re very crafty.”

OMG, that's great. Now if they'd only "render" Al Davis to some sh*thole prison and make him confess how dragging the Raiders up and down the state sucked the life out of the team and its fans.

I would agree to that and some water boarding for Al. He's just doing this to prove he can destroy the franchise. He brought them into the world and he's determined to take them with him to the grave.

Heh.. they're finally learning to join the rest of civilized society by talking smack about their foes' favorite sports teams to get back at them, instead of taking out their anger and frustration on innocent civilians by blowing up mosques, markets, and buses full of them.

Butkus would be cruel and unusual punishment and may be in violation of the Geneva Convention and many other human rights - he certainly was when he was with the Bears and he still looks as though he could hold his own. But having Willie Davis, Herb Adderley, Henry Jordan and Willie Woods ought to do the trick . I'm sure that if Nitschke were here he'd already be on his way to Iraq to set those folks straight!!!!!

Reminds me of the WWII story I heard about the Japanese on Guadacanal who would taunt the Marines with cried of "Babe Ruth eats shit!"
