This is basically a form of torture. It's not as if the Palestinians had any place they could go to escape from the bombs. UN convoys and schools, individual homes, everything and anything is a justifiable target as far as the IDF is concerned. Bomb first, when others ask questions later, just lie!

Reading the Hamas Charter will make it clear to all why this war will have to be fought, either now or in the future.

Seeing that the majority of the world population are blind to what Hamas stands for, Israel will have to fight alone and ignore what the world thinks

And where do the Israelis go to escape from Hamas' rockets? Give up their country to terrorists, just because the terrorists are willing to be more violent and more underhanded in the way they wage this terror-campaign against the Israeli state? It is so ridiculous to hear people condemning Israel's actions against a terrorist organization that targets only civilians and seeks the complete destruction of their government. Would you really be so outraged if there were groups in NJ launching rockets at manhattan every week, and our government were to respond in the same fashion? Only if these hypothetical terrorists had the same propaganda Hamas has been feeding the world for years! Of course Israel is going to look bad when Hamas fires from the middle of their own population centers and marches their own children in front of armed forces - but that doesn't mean they should let Hamas win!!!

You'd be fooling yourself if you thought Hamas' rockets had ANY "kill power." Everybody knows they're basically bottle rockets with a little extra range.

But my (and Maryshelly's?) arguments go unheard against AIPAC'S wonderful marketing campaign.

"Kill power" has no relation to intent. And their suicide bombings have killed plenty. None of your points change the fact that they are terrorists attacking a country from within.

Even, if they are "basically bottle rockets with a little extra range", doesn't that make it worse in some sense? In that case, they're launching bottle rockets to no effect from the middle of their own population centers, causing the Isreali gov't to fire missiles at their own civilians.
