The Kennedy saga grows stranger with each passing year. C. David Heymann's new book, Bobbie and Jackie: A Love Story, claims that Robert Kennedy, the married senator and father of 11 kids, had a steamy affair with Jackie Kennedy after his brother died, according to the New York Post. Among the book's shocking admissions: Jackie, not RFK's wife, instructed doctors to pull the plug on the senator after he was shot; socialite Mary Harrington saw Jackie sunbathing topless and kissing RFK; and Commerce Department administrator Kenneth McKnight showed up for a meeting with RFK and found Jackie straddling his lap. Heyman spent two decades researching the book, during which he looked through old FBI and secret service files, and obtained recollections from Kennedy family insiders, including friends Gore Vidal and Truman Capote.

One reason we are bust is we base our vote in part on the fantasy on the lovey dovy presidential marriage. I remember the Obama like marriage and family media fairy tale about the Kennedys. Strongly suspect will find out the Obama's marital bliss image is fairy tale too.

The Kennedys have proven themselves to be a weird, dysfunctional family who have grandstanded for decades and never been treated with the same rules as the rest of us. In spite of the bias in the media, history continues to erode the facade in front of them so the real stink can show. However, this is unnecessary, and unimportant, and another waste of journalistic space.
Bull, the "real stink" as you put it, is probably also happening a couple of houses down the block from you, if not at your own addess. Camelot in part was created by the masses. We tend to believe what we want to believe. Nobody has to lie to us, we often make it up ourselves. So the self-righteousness I read from some of you is just so much KRAP! Life happens and we all live with the residue.

Ho Hum....and who really believes its true and if true, who really cares in this day and age? Finally, why hurt the family members who if it is true and they knew, certainly they have no interest in making it public fodder. I am so seek of people who write these book. There will be some ambulance chasers who buy it. But it would be great if Americans would start boycotting some of this BS!
You're right, in this day and age. But it was 40 years ago. The morals were different. Just 20 years ago The School Superintendant got caught with The English teacher on his desk! It was considered abominable. The current Superintendant got caught with the Science teacher's wife. This happened 7~8 years ago and was no big deal.

Thanks to their own squalid behavior, the public perception of three or so generations of Kennedys has sunk from revered icons to sleazy dirtbags.
But the thing is, they were ALWAYS dirtbags. It's just that the news media and everyone else chose to overlook that because the family was so glamorous (yet another media fiction).
But the days of shielding the glamorous are over, and that's a very good thing.
