Jackson Funeral Tickets: $25

On the bright side, this is the cheapest Michael Jackson ticket there’s been for years: According to Radar, fans will be charged $25 to attend Michael Jackson’s memorial service at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The main floor will be reserved for family, friends, and VIPs, while the general public will have to sit in the stands for the July 7 service. T-shirts will also be sold.

Is it any coincidence that the NEXT show at the Staples Center is the circus? I have never, ever heard of an admission fee to a funeral, let alone t-shirt sales. It is crass and awful. I just hope the profits go to the children.

duvybug

What also stinks is that the facility being used is owned by
AEG therefore they are making money off of the memorial, off the DVD's they;ll make from the rehersal vides, from the insurance policy on Jackson's ability to do the concerts...and what also stinks even more is that this place only holds 25,000. Whose big idea was this?? UMM, the AEG CEO also know as Tim Leiweke..concert promoter. They need a 80,000 seat stadium all for fans!!! This is crap

i'm rather disgusted along with the rest of you here, but it's not a funeral - it's a memorial. i couldn't find anything that said his body would be there; if it will be, can someone please provide the link?

that being said, i still think charging for a MEMORIAL is kind of crass, too.

in fact, the whole thing stinks. but if indeed jackson's body will be up there on display in a casket....words cannot express how distasteful that would be.

but the burning question is: will they selling jesus juice at the concession stand?
