Will Paris and Blanket Be Stars?

Is the world ready for little Jacksons to take the stage? The family has been mourning Michael for only two weeks, but Joe Jackson may already be scouting his grandchildren's talent. The stage father—who allegedly abused his own children—told Good Morning America that he thinks Michael’s children pack their own star power. “I keep watching Paris. She maybe wants to do something,” he said. “And Blanket, he can really dance.” Jackson's children were notably sheltered from the spotlight while their father was alive.

At least this can be used as evidence in the Nature vs. Nurture scientific argument since MJ's kids have no genetic relationship to him. Let's see if Joe's "nurturing" produced the stars or if it took the genes to produce them while we've got this fiasco going, since it will be televised anyways.

It's not enough for Joe to have ruined his children, he's after his grandchildren too? He should not be allowed unsupervised visitation with those kids, who need a guardian to keep them safe from their family.

You read my mind.. This guy should not be allowed within 100 miles of these kids. Obviously Michael Jackson did not want his father near them. Let's hope the court keeps it that way.

"I keep watching Paris..."

"...and I keep seeing dollar signs!"

What could possibly have happened in Joe Jackson's *own* childhood upbringing to make him so utterly devoid of human compassion that he sees his grieving grandchildren only as marketable entertainment commodities for him to "promote" (read: exploit) ASAP?

I worry about Joe Jackson beating Michael Jr., Paris, and Blanket the way he beat his sons.

God bless those children.
Joe Jackson is a shameless huckster.
Too bad it isn't snake oil he is selling: it is, and has always been, his family.

Wait, they really call the kid "Blanket?" I thought that was a joke they made up for South Park.

Anyway, Joe Jackson shouldn't be allowed anywhere near those kids. What a bastard!

Everybody thought Jackson was nuts for keeping his kids out of the public eye, but that was one thing he was right about. They are beautiful children, but I know he wouldn't want them anywhere near show business at least until they are of age. He also didn't want to have anything to do with Neverland, he never went back after the trials, but *rumor* has it some of the family wants to him buried there (ala Graceland). This makes my skin crawl. Hopefully the more caring side of the family will prevail. I hope the children are well cared for as they are Jackson's true legacy (doesn't matter if they are bio or not).
