What do you give the girl who has everything? When Malia Obama turns 11 on July 4th, the White House pastry chef will probably bake her birthday cake, the U.S. Marine Band will likely serenade her with "Happy Birthday," and she'll be able to celebrate with the thousands of Americans celebrating Independence Day on the front lawn. So far, 20 of her friends have descended on Camp David for Malia's birthday. Said President Obama: "There are 24 double-X chromosomes up in Camp David as we speak. It's a little intimidating."

I'm not sure how my pointing out that this story is devoid of facts and needlessly sensational is biased. They don't state things that will happen, they state that something might happen. This is not news, it is conjecture. And calling her "the girl who has everything" is playing on an untrue stereotype that she is a spoiled child given whatever she wants. Incorrect, and also not news.
If that offends "Professional News People" however you define that, too freaking bad. Someone may be getting paid to bring us news, but that doesn't necessarily mean they're good at it.
Wow, it's amazing how much hate an 11-year-old girl's birthday brings out in the American public. What a classy bunch.

I'm sure Malia's parents have instilled enough self-confidence in her to make sure she is not bothered by ignorant people. Look how lovely Chelsea turned out to be and she was made fun of as a 12 year old, on Saturday Night Live!!! Children turn out just fine as long as they know their parents love them.

Obama may leave us broke, with out-of-control inflation and interest rates at 20%, but he's also leaving us with how a black man (mix) can take responsibility and be a father. Bill Cosby's character on TV was an important first step, but it was make believe. Obama offers no excuses ( a la Sharpton and Jackson) and leads by example. Regarding fatherhood and responsibility, I hope he can connect with teenagers of all colors and show young men that being a man is more than just spilling your seed, it's taking responsibility.
Happy Birthday, Malia! One of the first daughters of our nation on such a special birthday...America's Birthday!!! Our President is awesome in so many ways...So glad we have a true leader in these terrible times. And a great role model for parents...We are truly blessed.
