Chairman Rupert Murdoch defended comments by Fox News host Glenn Beck that President Obama is “a racist” with a “deep-seated hatred for white people or the white culture.” Talking to Sky News Australia, Murdoch said, “That was something which perhaps shouldn’t have been said about the president, but if you actually assess what he was talking about, he was right.”

Murdoch is an international pirate, and Beck is one of his blubbering henchmen. Since Beck gets his marching orders from Murdoch, it would be unlikely that Murdoch would contradict Beck's racist insanity.

Obama is a polished pitchman, who has had no experience of running a business, but has taken over the banks and auto industries, who have only 2 years of political experience yet is hailed as a Nobel Peace Prize lauriat, and who has a legal education but didn't practice law.
He and his wife have said and done things that show a dislike and disrespect for "non blacks".
Beck is a bit over the top, but the content of his statements do show validity in his statement.

That's ridiculous CR. They have not shown dislike for "non blacks". His mother and grandmother that raised him were "non black". Most of his friends and those close around him in his profession that he trusts so much are "non black".
Besides, even if he had some sort of bias (which there is no evidence that he does), could you blame him considering the history of this country and not to mention the nasty racist remarks that some white people have made against him? And don't you probably have some sort of bias towards "typical" black people?

When it comes to Obama, it's more important to learn about him via his actions, because we have seen that he doesn't stand by his words. While some people's words are their bond, others use words simply as a means of manipulation, then will go against their own promises.
As for actions, look at what Obama did with the Officer Crawley situation. Within hours, and without knowing the facts of the situation, he decried the white cops (saying they acted stupidly), and defended the black professor, as if he were on automatic pilot.
He knows better. When Major Hasan shot and killed 13 of our finest, wounded 30 others, when there was NO DOUBT, Obama's first reaction was to tell America "don't jump to conclusions until we have all the facts".
To me, his reactions to these 2 situations were absolutely backwards. When it came to the Hasan issue, he should have acknowledged what everyone was thinking of (was this terrrorism?), and declared that everything would be done to determine how this could have happened and was there a distinct relationship to jihadist terrorism.
Obama's reaction on the Crawley/Gates issue should have been to withhold judgment until all the facts were available. His jump to judgment was motivated by a belief that the black community is mistreated by law enforcement. I'm curious as to how he would have reacted if the professor had been white, and the officer black. My bet........he would not have become involved in something so trivial. Not only was it trivial, but it wouldn't have promoted his agenda of black victimhood.

The truth, if you remember, is that Obama never brought this ordeal up. He was asked about it by a race obsessed media, hoping to get a story. You are right that he would not have made the comments if the professor was white, but you are wrong about the reason. Like I've already stated, the reason is that the media would never have asked him about the story if the professor was white. Do you think they would have? Of course not. The incident wouldn't have even made headlines. It is you who is claiming racism on Obama's part, and it is you who is wrong.

Let me remind you that Obama was the one who raised $60 million for Walter Annenberg for the schools projects. It was Obama who negotiated the deal with Canada for the Alaska pipeline in which Sarah Palin has taken all the credit but in the long run, the truth will slap her. On top of that he taught law. For 12 years, Obama was a constitutional law professor at the University of Chicago Law School; as a Lecturer from 1992 to 1996, and as a Senior Lecturer from 1996 to 2004.
Now you should be feeling stupid, so maybe you won't reply. But what I would like to know is what difference would it make if Obama practiced law or not? Is Palin one? McCain? Bush? The reason the police still wanted him to go outside of the house, was because the police wanted to make sure no one else was in the house, the witness said there were two people who entered the house,this was to protect the owner,and he didnt understand that, nor do you or Obama at the time..

And why try to take the guy outside his house when all he had to do is ask him "is there anyone else in the house with you?". Thats a lame excuse that the cop just whipped out of the air because he had nothing else to say. Two people enter the house and the lawyer was one of them. So obviously whoever entered the house with him was someone he knew.

diamondgirl, Progressive2 knows what he's talking about. The cop went there to investigate a possible break-in. Once the cop was convinced that it was the lawyer's house, his job is to say "have a nice day". If the lawyer got loud with him, it is his constituional free speech right. The cop is trespassing once he verifies the owner. Unless he has a warrant to enter the premises, the cop is to leave.

Based on what you are saying you seem to think there is a law on the books that if the police want to enter your house and you don't let them in you will be arrested for "disorderly conduct."
A short review of our constitution and civil rights legislation puts a burden on the police to have good cause to enter a house. Without good cause or reasonable suspicion, a warrant is required. If the cop believed Mr. Gates to be the owner of the home, what were the police suspicious of?

He admitted that he didn't have all the facts in the same news interview where he said the cops were wrong. Jumping to conclusions is inappropriate for a POTUS.

In which he did not. By his own report he states that: "As I turned and faced the door, I could see an older black male standing In the foyer of W Ware Street I made this observation through the glass parted frontdoor. As I stood In plain view of this man. later identified as Gates. I asked if he would step out onto the porch and speak with me. He replied 'no I will not". He then demanded to know who I was. I told him that I was "Sgt. Crowley from the Cambridge Police" and that I was "investigating a report of a break in progress" at the residence. While I was making this statement, Gates opened the front door and exclaimed "why. because I'm a black man in America?"

I think sitting in Rev. Jeremiah Wright's church for 20 years may have jaded the President a little bit against white people even though his mother was white. His jumping to conclusions (admittedly) without having all of the facts in the Skip Gates incident also may have been racially motivated. The problem is that most people in America are the kindest and most inclusive, most tolerant people in the world. Apparently that causes a lot of discomfort to those who prefer to wallow in a belief that they are victims of a racist society. It's always much easier (but very self-destructive) to blame ones own failures on someone else.
It takes a lot longer to change one's own view of one's self, than to change other's view off one's self. There are still some who see Obama as black. But there are a 10000 times more people who just view him as our POTUS. I'll bet it's very difficult for the black community to understand and accept that.

A healthy portion of the American people played the race card against Obama. Constantly. Hell, during the election, the media talked more about his race than his politics! I'm sure Obama would have loved to not have to mention a single thing about his skin color and his name. But that is unfortunately not the kind of world we live in. He was simply being real, and briefly addressing all the hoopla.
And the Skip Gates incident was not racially motivated. Yes, the cop acted stupidly. It has nothing to do with the fact he is a white guy.
