Not So Fast, Ensign
Republican Senator John Ensign somehow managed to avoid a big, public brouhaha over his affair, in part thanks to Republican Governor Mark Sanford's surprise infidelity confession. But on Wednesday, the media spotlight turned back to the disgraced politician, who admitted to a relationship with one of his former staffers, Cindy Hampton, last month. According to the mistress's husband, fellow Republican Senator Tom Coburn knew about Ensign's affair for more than a year and encouraged him to give the couple “millions of dollars” so that they could pay off their mortgage and leave Ensign’s hometown of Las Vegas. Coburn denies the allegation. Also on Wednesday, Hampton's husband said Ensign gave $25,000 to his wife as a "severance package" when they ended their affair. Hampton also turned over Ensign's break-up letter to his wife to the Las Vegas Sun.

I agree that the C St bunch are rotters who pretend to be Christians. The C St bunch also pretend to be loyal Americans. There are books about the C St bunch & their relation to the promoters of Prayer Breakfasts in Washington, DC. That bunch was pro-Nazi before WW II & rabidly anti-Communist after WW II. It was a good way to make money, When Communism & the USSR collapsed in 1990 The C St bunch & Prayer Breakfast promoters didn't have any more witchs to hunt. They now condemn Democrats as socialists. That isn't working. They are as adapt at condemning Democrats as socialists as the RC's Dominican Friars were at running the Spanish Inquisiton or Mass's Puritans were at witch hunting.
The Dominican Friars can be credited with causing the Protestant Reformation of Christianity. The Puritans killed the concept of Theocracy but reactionary, neo-con, ersatz Christians still are beating their dead horse of saying that the USA is a Christian nation & a theocracy.
Many of the founders of the USA were Diests. It is difficult to call a Diest a Christian unless you an accomplished liar of the ilk of the C St bunch, et al. Americans were an amoral lot till the so called Great Revival of the 1830's brought Hellfire & Brimstone preaching & a spurious sense of guilt to unchurched Americans. Now the successors of the Hellfire & Brimstone preachers call themselves fundamentalasts, (aka fundies, Evangelicals, holy rollers, etc) who as guilt ridden & dour as RC's
BTW, the word Christian is a proper noun, use upper case letters for 1st letter of a proper noun. I infer that when you refer to the Lord, you refer to Jesus Christ & His Father God; all of these words are proper nouns to Christians & Heathens alike. It's embarassing to see a fundamentalist Christian not show the respect due to his Lord, Savior & Master & Christianity. Perhaps you have forgotten how to use the spell check on your computer. It would be to your advantage if you used spell check. We humanists find it strange when a self proclaimed Christian fails to always capitolize Christian & all words which refer to his God, his Lord, Savior & Master, Jesus Christ. If we humanists can learn to respect your God, why can't you Christians learn to use upper case letters for the 1st letter of nouns & pronouns when they refer to their God? You owe that respect to your God.
I'm obliged to commend you for seeing the C St bunch as frauds & spurious Christians. You have honored your God by exposing the C St bunch as pious frauds. Your God will continue to guide you. I assume that you know how to pray & speak to your God. I infer that your Lord, Savior & Master, Jesus Christ took great care to tell what His Father, God wants to do for you. Peace to you & yours.

Anybody who holds public office that was obtained by voter participation should be removed from office when they engage in adultry, and other criminal acts that violates the trust that these offices require.
