Obama: Blago Should Resign

Rod Blagojevich is now officially under the presidential bus. According to his spokesman, Barack Obama believes that the Illinois governor should resign. “The president-elect agrees with Lt. Governor Quinn and many others that under the current circumstances it is difficult for the Governor to effectively do his job and serve the people of Illinois,” spokesman Robert Gibbs said. Gibbs also said that the Illinois General Assembly should implement a process to appoint a new senator, rather than leaving it up to Blagojevich.

The last part of this article is the most saddening.
"Blagojevich returned to work Wednesday morning with TV news helicopters tracking his movements. He waved to cameras as he left his Chicago home, and arrived at his office a short time later in attempt to show that he maintains a grip on his power.
Blagojevich's attorney has said the governor has no plans to resign."
What an ego! I couldn't show my face in public after being arrested. I mean, I knew this guy had a set of brass ones from the transcripts, but to not consider resigning after all this...wow!
